Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Any word on VCG?

Seen lots of people get fired for pretty random and odd reasons lately. With Black Friday being a dud, and calls sometimes 3-4 minutes in between (unheard of before) and VCG becoming every department rolled into one, what gives? Anyone hear or know anything down the line with us?

@3tcs+1jUMsues- When we reach that goal, my team and I get a significant bonus... we can't wait!

Moving from 2/3 outsourced to 3/4 outsourced for wireless. That work is being accelerated.

Say whatever you like. The bottom line is we take all calls from the lazy, fat, entitled Americans. We will be here long after diabetes takes your legs.

I bet Verizon is paying for those roosters you hear in the background when you call in .

The wait between calls is due to many calls routed overseas.

Even overtime which was rampant this time last year is gone. Instead of waiting for the layoff, proactively look and tell VZ to shove off. This company declined so fast, so suddenly that it will never recover. It’s a wrap for VZ.

That is odd. In Cebu, we are hiring all we can. We have been swamped.... many calls holding all week.

I would guess if anything happens it will be after the Holidays. Haven’t heard of people being fired but I would guess just
leaders trying to get rid of sh-t workers or people they don’t like so that their favorites have a better chance when the axe falls. The wait between calls are weird but I’m not surprised given the amount of lines we lost.
