Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

4 Day RTO for us! But... Payments Chris W & Chris N buddies WFH 100% track, enforce RTO

Chris W hire Chris N is clueless or just doesn't care. Noe was hired in April 2023. All Truist employees were forced to RTO beginning in June 2023. Shortly after forced RTO Noe started hiring his buddies to work remotely from places all over the country (MN, CA, PA, etc.). A trickle-down effect occurred when those buddies hired their buddies as managers to also work remotely. Those Noe buddies, and their directs, are now enforcing the 3-day RTO, soon to be 4-day RTO safe and sound from the stress, waste of time in traffic, parking expenses from all over the country...

What about the importance of in office collaboration? What happened to "better together"? How can a "leader" lead, collaborate face to face, share ideas in person from California while employees are across the country in offices located in Charlotte, Orlando & Atlanta?

RTO will be enforced by these people from their homes with Sapience, monitoring badge swipes, IP address location.

Ironic, we merged two banks during a pandemic in our "jammies".
Now, working at home (and skipping an unproductive 3 hour commute) in our jammies is a problem?
Make it make sense.

Weirdo Ward does have a lot of former WF people in that group over the last year. This is how Bill operates. They’ll all be gone in a couple of years and a new group will be brought in, it’s the Suntrust way.

The clueless Noe cronie Hansen in San Francisco is a true piece of work! He is loving that "power" and sends unsolicited advice. What a mo--n!

They all are, Weirdo Ward & Noe stress the importance of being in the office.... THEN hire their Wells Fargo talentless tyrant buddies to WFH, monitor and enforce RTO. Lying Hypocrites.

True, they WFH and take week long business trips to Raleigh, Orlando, Charlotte & Atlanta. Those cross country flights, hotel stays, meal costs, expenses add up. I thought Truist was under a no travel policy and cutting all costs because Truist is so broke? Again, Lying Hypocrites.

@3wzg+1uxrhMn2 - You obviously don’t have a clue that some of the smartest and most talented teammates (especially in tech) WFH. These teammates are marketable and will definitely leave to go to another organization that values flexibility. Will only hurt Truist in the long run!

It’s about time RTO is back for good. It should be 5 days a week. All of these Nancie’s whining about in the office. Shut your trap, roll up your sleeves and do some real work! How can you collaborate in your jammies at home? You think company culture is you working with your dog or cat everyday?!! NEWSFLASH IT ISN’T!

Don’t like it! Here is the door!!!!

Noe’s Town Hall was a joke. 37% engagement rate. Over 67% disengaged and partially disengaged. To no surprise he had his head in the sand when demanding everyone RTO 4 days a week starting 10/1. Except for his old Wells Fargo cronies he hired that live in San Francisco like Hansen! They get to WFH and take business travel as they please to Charlotte, Raleigh, Atlanta.

For real, how are they going to enforce this when 40% of departments are remote? Tbh I don’t think there will be any consequences. WF and BoA have much more consistent In office requirements and review against commute distances, that’s what we would have if they were serious about in office. Truist is haphazard and inconsistent, typical.

If you want to worship at the Amazon alter, why not start forcing teammate to p-e in a jar at their desk? Imagine how many minutes per day are wasted with humans relieving themselves.

I think most of us will agree that the 4 dat RTO policy pill would be easier yo swallow if it was fair across the board but it's not - far from it. And that is the problem. In my dept of about 15 at least 3 are tele-commuters (one manager who is enforcing RTO and two others who are able to come and go as they please, who live well within 35 miles of the office.

If SunTruist had a real Chief Teammate Officer instead of the figure head for show we have this would not be allowed. This is the type of tone deaf nonsense that this bank has become infamous for. She is a complete sellout as she worshiped at the altar of Kelly and got this job for one reason only

@1ujj+1uxrhMn2 - The double standard is sad. If Ward/Noe truly “cared” about those platitudes, why not hire mid level managers in Atlanta, Raleigh, Charlotte, Orlando? Or better yet, promote from within. It is very sad the level of deception and lying that occurs with the leadership at Truist. I like my job and am damn good at it. When I leave it will be because of the cess pool that the leaders have turned Truist into. And the irony is when I leave it will be a loss for my team and organization as I’m one of the higher performers on my team

@1ujj+1uxrhMn2 - Well said! There is a quote from Maya Angelou - “When people show you who they are, believe them”.

Ward and Noe have shown us who they are by their actions, and they su-k. They are nothing more than unscrupulous Machiavellian “leaders”. They just play the lip service and platitude game (like “Care” and “Purpose, Mission, Values”) like most the other leaders do at Truist. They are two faced and everyone knows it.

"Amazon going to 5 days in the office interesting the world continues to pass so many posters"

ok, so after announcing the 5 day RTO is Amazon NOW hiring "leaders" and middle managers to work from home 100% (nowhere near the offices, located across the country) to enforce and discpline those forced to a 5 day RTO?

That is what the Truist Ward/Noe regime has done. Stress the importance of "better together" "collaboration" "face to face to share ideas" then proceed to hire their talentless green cronies from Wells as middle managers to work from home across the country and enforce RTO.

Hypocrites. Just another slap in the face to Truist employees when the new clueless Ward/Noe regime takes over, threatens discipline & enforces RTO.. Then proceeds to hire their pals from Wells in California, Minnesota, Pennyslvania to sit at home and enforce RTO for employees in Charlotte, Atlanta, Orlando.

The new Toe head in California is comical though. What a "leader" goofball that one is

I agree. The hypocrisy and duplicity from management at Truist is the worst I’ve ever experienced of any company I’ve worked at. The employee experience is terrible and the engagement survey scores corroborate this. I hope employees catch on that management spews nothing but lip service and are Machiavellian type individuals that look out for their own interests above those of the rank and file. Employees here should just do their bare minimum in their jobs as they will not be rewarded monetarily for “exceeding expectations”. Treat this place as just a “job you have to do”, do the bare minimum and if you get laid off, find a job with a better company.

This is not the original post. This is not even the second post, this is the third time we have had to repost this. Truist "leaders" keep having it deleted. The truth and their hypocrisy needs to be public. It is and will be.

We will keep posting as they keep deleting, this is nothing but the truth.
