Any word on fresh leads block changes?

Id really like to know what fresh leads were just begging for 1 weekend a month.
I'd much rather sacrifice that if it means not leaving at 10 or 11 at night just to come back at 6AM and working 6 days in a row.
If GMs should look after the market, ASMs should look after total club, and leads should look after areas (fresh leads over ALL of fresh), then fresh leads should typically be scheduled between 6AM and 7:30PM to touch both morning and evening shifts without holding anyone's hands.
1hvp+19uAtrl7 you should speak up if your schedule is being manipulated. This is in the new change. They don't want schedules to be changed at all anymore. Whatever is produced by the system is what you should work. If you get on jda you can see when and who changed the schedule
@3qsf+19uAtrl7, the rotating schedule for fresh leads is a bad schedule. they only get consecutive days off on their 1 weekend off a month. the rest of the time, their days are split & they work days & nights. nothing consistent. their schedule is all over the map. Most merchandisers & fresh full timers get their off days back to back. AM leads are done at 12:30 & have the rest of their day free. Most PM leads come from the old night crew & favor working late. that 1 weekend off is little solace for the c-ap schedule they have the rest of the time.
I really don’t understand why leads get a rotating schedule that includes a weekend off when we have other associates who have a set schedule that includes every weekend. I have seen good associates become completely unhappy because of this. Because leads have this weekend it’s not that uncommon for them but I put in PTO for other weekends and basically barely work weekends ever. Especially tenured leads that have a lot of PTO. It’s sad when there are associates that work every single day of every single weekend unless they put in for PTO. It’s a recipe for disgruntled workers. In my experience at other retailers this is not a practice for this very reason. The company winds up becoming a revolving door of good help and end up with people who manipulate the system forever.
1jdf+19uAtrl7 you're right as long as you don't have overbearing suffocating managers who refuse to let you do your job whether you're there or not
management should be able to adjust the schedules. having fresh leads work anything other than opening shift & giving them a 3 day weekend each month is indicative of just how out of touch corporate is with daily operations in these clubs.
leads should be there to oversee, plan, delegate, & participate in getting ready for the day's business.
unless they're on vacation or leave, they don't need to be out of their area 3 straight days every month. with the volume most clubs do & the ineptness of many associates, things can get out of control in 3 days
6-2:30 instead of 5-1:30, but it doesn’t matter because Manager’s manipulate the schedules anyway.
1mdy+19uAtrl7, you'd think that corporate would realize that no 2 clubs are the same. the clientele & buying habits differ. but the people in charge think that all clubs should operate the same. they live in a fantasy world. clueless & naive.
Fresh leads should write their own schedules.
Scheduling is not a matter of one size fits all clubs.
minimal change. instead of 1-9:30 twice a week, you work 12:30-9. 3 days 2 nights, but you're supposed to own your business. no one with any clue on how to operate a successful department would have a operate on schedule like that.
