Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Downtown Milwaukee is the place to be!

Fiserv has finally escaped the suburban backwaters and moved to the heart of the region!

Downtown is just a short work from Amani, but getting to Brookfield took forever.

LMAO, To inept to move a data center, LOL. That is the understatement of the year!!! However once you know some of the people involved its understandable. Lets hire more nationals! Some are great, will give em that, however most can't get out of their own way.

@3qnn+1rxCcC20 you're to ignorant to think Milwaukee is great place to work and isn't a crime ridden cess pool. You are the joke in these posts.

“Established building in Brookfield”? It was falling apart!

Boo hoo I can’t go home for lunch.m

Brookfield IS a backwater. The ignorant posts are coming from those trying to paint downtown as some mu---r capital.

'P.S. What ever happened to the Brookfield computer room (I can't call it a data center).'

That can't be moved to Milwaukee. So unless they can be able to combine it with one of the other DCs, which they proved for the last 15 years they are too inept to do it stays put.

I understand there are probably some people that enjoy living and working in a downtown area. However to have an established building in Brookfield for many years where a majority of the employees live around that area with short commute times. Then to force everyone to a new building downtown giving them 30-45 minute commutes each way. I can think of more negatives than positives:

  • Loss of an hour of my day
  • Increased fuel expense
  • The inability to quickly run home over lunch (the few times I get to leave my desk during lunch)
  • Traffic
  • Unable to get home in time for school events

Positive items for the employee:

  • Newer slightly nicer office

The real reason this was done was to make the company look good at the expense of the employees. Employees are always the last on the list when it comes to these things, which is really sad.

P.S. What ever happened to the Brookfield computer room (I can't call it a data center).

Now if only Fiserv paid market wages for a downtown tech company. Then maybe something to be semi excited for. Ive been around when they’ve brought in external parties to do salary reviews and found many underpaid positions and Fiserv just said oh well.

The building and the upgrades from the old office are impressive, yes. But calling Brookfield “Surburban Backwaters” or Milwaukee the heart of the region is just plain ignorant and stupid. Shut up.

You should just move a cot right into your cubicle, since you seem to be so thrilled about your new crime-ridden digs. Enjoy it, Shilly!
