NEVER take a VSP! Worst case is they still do cuts and you get way less in the future... but that helps VZW grow the business. What person would want to take money from VZW when they have done so much for you.. nice benefits, employee phone program, 25% off accessories, etc. My boss took money for a relo one time and I told the person I was ashamed of them. They were curious why... I said for all the company gives you... pay your own way... that way VZW has more money to do less layoffs. GROW THE BUSINESS!!! Don't take money away from it. I've been here 30+ years and I'll be dammed if I don't get up and go door to door trying to convince my neighbors to leave Cricket to come to VZW. If everyone did that... sales would be even higher and no layoffs would be needed! I once convinced 3 people on a flight to New Jersey to leave their carrier and it was the best feeling in the world. That is our STI!

If you love your job, but the money offer is life changing for a year, do you take it? If you don't, will you not have an opportunity for money and loose the job later during more impacts? Can you rehire after 6mos? Many questions

I’m reading the list of titles in groups impacted and my organization isn’t there at all so unless the report is wrong I’m not eligible.

The microsite does the calc but it probably would do it for anyone that found it. I’ll be glad if I’m wrong but for now it is just a cruel joke.

Special director aand above VSP? I remember last year they had that retitling that leaked and that was just for band 6s. Will 5V VSP mean another boost for those 6Vs that got bumped to director?

Its probably True. What folks need to understand is that VZ eventually needs to reduce headcount by 15K 20K employees. Yes 15K - 20K. The VSP is a humane way of saying, "Thank you, but now its time for you to move on with your life." Unfortunately, V teamers are so comfortable with herding the cats and being overpaid that they wont get the message. Personally, they shouldn't do VSP but just start laying people off. The stock is done 30% from 5 years ago because executive leadership is so slow and d-mb. You thing Hans or Sampath are going to step down themselves from taking the stock down 30%? Of course not. They rather slash and burn their way out.
