Y'all really have no idea how lucky you are. I was part of the FindLaw divestiture and was hit by one of the many RIF actions that have happened since Dec... those still employed (according to my sources) should have been eligible for raises on 4/1 have yet to even received a perf review, let alone had conversations about pay raises.

Leadership cough (Haddad) cough really sc--wed everyone over for a massive payday.

@3mj+1jnpyzx2k You keep using the fact we are all posting under Anon as some sort of gotcha moment. Until our higher ups can be trusted not to retaliate, which if they could, they wouldn't have this site blocked, I'm going to keep posting under Anon. Anyone who knows me in the office in MSP knows I am happy to discuss pay and raises, not because I am bragging, but because we need pay transparency and the only way we are going to get it is to be transparent ourselves.

If you don't want to talk about money, that's perfectly okay, but to judge other people for choosing to do so is what is vulgar. We are all adults and we should be able to discuss any thing about our job if we so choose without being told we are vulgar, braggarts, or any other thing you've slung around in the comments.

Again, why are you trying so hard to control what other people do? Are you a C Suite in disguise? Why are YOU posting your opinions about your "vulgar colleagues" under Anon? Not brave enough to say it to our faces? And finally, how, pray tell, are we supposed to know if we are underpaid if no one, including our C Suite, wants us to talk about it or will release pay bands?

@24f+1jnpyzx2k Why do you care about people discussing their pay and raises? Why does it bother you? No one is asking you to share your pay and your raise. And yes, I am perfectly comfortable telling people on my team and colleagues I work with what my pay and raise was. I don't feel the need for it to be some huge secret. Why do you? Remember, our corporate overlords do not reward loyalty, hard work, or silence.

Literally nothing has changed about this in over 25 years. They’ve never given raises that keep up with cost of living and they always hire externally at a higher salary than those who are internal. I know quite a few people who left and came back at much higher salaries over the years.

My boss did tell me that the AIP would be much higher in 2026. I’ve never heard of any company announcing the (measly) next year’s bonus increase a year early. That’s great but that’s next year, guess they want to deliver some good news with the usual miserly increase.

The raises don’t even keep pace with the cost of living increases. They also don’t reflect performance at all. I have also noticed that positions are hiring at a starting salary that is more than people make that have been here for years in that same position.

Back in 1999 I worked for a company where the UK payroll data being sent to BACS was copied from one computer to another and left in a default directory where anyone on the network of 40,000 plus computers (globally) could read it. A colleague showed me having just taken a copy of the file that contained payroll data including annual salary of some 5,500 UK employees. We informed IT involved of the security issue and they chose to acknowledge the issue and ignore it :-)
Oh and we had a nose about …..human nature

@17r+1jnpyzx2k I'm still trying to process this. Maybe times have changed. I'm not sure what good it does to ask your co-workers what kind of raise they got. Believe me, I understand that there are historical inadequacies in how people have been paid, not just at TR, and those need to be corrected. But are you just asking your buddies at work, or are you really comfortable asking people at large "Hey, how'd your performance review go? I got x%. You?" That just seems like asking somebody "What do you weigh?" It's really personal, and you have no idea what your buddy actually did at work or what their performance really was unless you are their manager.
I really do not understand all the downvotes unless this is just something everybody except me is gossipping about.

Asking how much the raise was in % is different from asking how much you make in $. There is no harm in asling and sharing about % raise. In fact there is no harm in asking and sharing about $. You have no idea the kind of relationship one has with their colleagues. In my case I got 1.5% for Achieved.

@yd+1jnpyzx2k, you asked your colleague what their raise was? I've never asked a colleague what they make. If you got Exceeds, maybe your AIP bonus had a higher multiplier than theirs.

I got 2% for Exceeds Expectations. My colleague got 2% got Achieved. Disappointed that Exceeds doesn’t fetch anything.
