Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Any ideas if NXT is included in 4/22 week? Layoffs, downbands, reorgs?

Some leaders have suggested LBJ building will be wfh that week as well, maybe meaning some things planned.

@4ubv+1s19SaJw I wish I could say it but it was so famous it would make me known here but believe me when I tell you my manager here at NSRL su-k, sometimes but still it is way better than every other place I have worked. I am not trying to lower the bar. The bar is already low outside of Nike. Most of the folks at NSRL have been here for 10 plus years and they act so soft and entitled it is obvious they have never had their butt kicked at work elsewhere. This corporate America is a ruthless machine. It does not treat anyone with kindness.... Have been through layoffs somewhere else... They worked us all year by promising the bonus ( 60+ hrs) and they laid off everyone hours before the bonus payout with zero dollars in severance or PSP and they also communicated this with the state trying to prevent unemployment.... Again, I am not trying to lower the bar... The bar is already low...

Work in innovation. Told by leader if your org was impacted in Phase 1 (reduction or reorg), you will not be impacted in Phase 2. Some orgs will experience shifts in structure and likely some folks will have new job titles. Expected to come in office next week.

To all of those who are complaining about NSRL leadership.... Sometimes they su-k but honestly if you are complaining about this, you have not had it hard enough! My worst at NSRL is still way better than my best day at previous company....

Apparel NXT needs a do-over. That group is so toxic and silo’d. With the exception of a couple people I can count on one hand, they need to be completely restructured if there is any hope.

NXT has tons of jobs listed. Mean while they laid off a bunch of talented people in December and kept some questionable ones. Some of that talent could’ve been reallocated. This really seems random and completely irrational choices.

No. The problem is JD, MM and gang. They willingly lie about innovation and remote. What else do they lie about? Everything. Either the most innovative product was made while remote or it’s all cr@p. What one? Both can’t be true.

@biz not completely true. Some functions in phase 1 were hit much harder and are safe, leaders just can’t say this. Some chose to do all the cuts in phase 1, others did not.

Very reliable source told me that the teams affected during the first round or people that changed roles during the first round are still on the chopping block. None of us are safe but hey, almost done with the wait I guess.
