I recently got offered a position outside of (tech-related) Nike, so far their pay and benefits are outstanding and actually gave me more than I'm asked for. They're giving me a 53k salary increase from what my current position is at Nike as an ETW!! I know i've been getting severely underpaid compared to my co-workers, but I put up with it for a long time in the hopes of being "converted."
The new job offer is providing me with 4 weeks vacation, 401k, profit sharing and good health insurance. 100% remote also ( which is what I want)
I told my current boss about the new offer and asked for a counteroffer. What can I really expect from Nike as an FTE? My other concern is upward mobility in the company if I continued with Nike. It seems damn near impossible to get an internal position even on another team when I applied as an ETW. So far, Nike has left me with a sour taste in my mouth. I really like my team, but I feel like Nike isn't worth the drama anymore. Especially all the internal politics.
Is being an FTE all that it's cracked up to be? To me, I've already made up my mind.
