The prognosticators, directors, and executives who constantly predict layoffs on this board were wrong, yet again.

OP you are a POS who can't even read.
There were posts this week from impacted people.
The recruiting org ("Talent Acquisition") had a massive layoff that was 100% location driven.
It's funny how the employees getting fired are supposed to be "grown ups" and yet the people doing the firing don't have the same expectation. There is zero candor or transparency from Hudson Yards. If they want their employees to be "grown up", they have to lead the way but they never will.
Real people are losing their jobs due to senseless hub strategy. Be kind.
Those affected — hold out for your severance. Those of you who are left will have a lot of work to do. Some truly great talent is leaving.
Yeah, we should all be like this grown up living in the real world: @3ick+1nMmxfZS spending your evening sh-----g on people being laid off and immediately upvoting your own comment 5 times for an ego boost lol
@1otw+1nMmxfZS Lives in lala land. Grow-up, it’s business, and big bank at that. Yes, lay-offs are really hard for those impacted, including their families; but the expectation of empathy is utter nonsense. Again, it’s a big bank in the real world.
Wait I thought the headcount was dropping in TM and that was your proof? Pick a conspiracy and stick with it, Qtaгd. You're twisting yourself in knots to explain away why there's no evidence of your bullsh-t 😂
This person is a troll there. Got get your effin shine bon ya jabroni! There been triple digit layoffs this week. They hide it by doing 1 of 2 things(IMO)
- Laying off 1 US employee and on-boarding 2-3 India / Philippines people. This makes it look like headcount is not dropping this way
- They give the employees that are impacted by layoffs a 60 day nonworking notice so they can avoid the WARN act.
FACTS! If anybody says, otherwise, you are a lying troll!
Sorry to all those affected. This is not fake news
Those of you who complain about HR might just miss HR soon!
My group was impacted
Wells Fargo's recent approach to laying off employees has highlighted a disturbing lack of empathy within the organization. Instead of handling the workforce reduction with sensitivity and understanding, the company seems to have prioritized cost-cutting over the well-being of its employees. This has left many workers feeling disposable and undervalued, exacerbating the emotional toll of losing their jobs. Empathy is crucial during such challenging times, as it helps foster a supportive environment for those affected, allowing them to transition more smoothly. Unfortunately, Wells Fargo's actions have underscored the need for a more compassionate and human-centric approach to corporate decision-making, where the welfare of employees remains a top priority.
field support techs were displaced yesterday...... gonna use vendors now
SBA group laid off people on Tuesday 7/26
For anyone tempted to believe the people claiming no layoffs are happening, how do you explain the headcount that has fallen from 273,000 in 2020 to 233,000 today? That's public information the company discloses in the SEC regulated reports. 40,000 jobs eliminated in 3 years and we still have posts claiming layoffs don't exist? That makes no sense.
5 people were displaced (team size before displacement: 30)
Our division of 80+ was laid off.
WF svx.
Please provide groups and locations for those laid off today. Im sure it happened but would like to know more.
My whole team was axed today. 100 plus
@gys+1nMmxfZS Lol, it was the troll that brought it up to prove his point in the first place, as if that proved the mass layoffs happened today:
“ The only "cult" here is the group that's in denial and unable to use the TM lookup to see the reality of what's happening.”
I know of 8 in Charlotte that lost their jobs todays.
Then what about the other things I mentioned? Literally anything else. You can’t provide it because you were caught lying. Garbage people.
"a big dip in employees on TM"
Id--t. You won't see the layoffs reflected there for 60 days.
Still waiting on those WARN notices, a news story, even a big dip in employees on TM… It was bullsh-t just to rile up people not in hubs, and now the troll is coming here to cry about being attacked. This site has some real bad liars and some real big pieces of sh-t.
Sorry people saw through your lie :(
Approximately 58 minutes ago I was the person who posted "Definitely layoffs at WF today. I can confirm that :(".
I see that 3 people downvoted or disagreed with my post.
I would love to hear from those 3 people. Why on earth would you disagree with my post? Why?
All of HR in non-hubs within the next 18 will be let go. Some will be 8/8. Some is phased. It is huge. We had a team meeting today about it. And HR call tomorrow. So many of my peers are effect. My heart is broken for them.
The trolls are the sc-mbags spreading misinfo just to put fear in people. Give it up dude, we all see through your BS
8/8 is ready to displace
As if it wasn't obvious the whole RIP thing was a troll, you can watch him lingering in this thread spamming downvotes on @zda
Definitely layoffs at WF today. I can confirm that :(
Thank god we have so many people with zero details claiming to be laid off today. You'd think they'd have other priorities on a day like that, but apparently the first thing they did was run to an anonymous message board used by like 30 people. Sounds legit.
So where are the WARN notices? Or literally any news story about the layoffs?
It's pretty clear that this site has one or two trolls who will lie through their teeth just to instill fear in people or push their own paranoid agenda. I mean just yesterday there was that same guy lying about quitting because of DEI and regulators for the Nth time, or claiming he's an investor indignant at offshoring, or he's had his identity stolen by injuns (in addition to being laid off lol), and before that it was the insane lies about vaccine deaths.
The fake layoff today was yet another iteration of the same trend that's gone on for months, if not years on thelayoff, with that particularly inflammatory "RIP" troll smugly claiming some huge layoff, chiming in with a couple vague replies, and then a day or two later people realize it never happened.
I know that there are some desperate people coming here, and frankly, a lot of the users don't have great media literacy, but it takes a particular kind of lo----e to get his jollies from spreading ignorant fear like that. This should be a lesson to not believe every rumor you see online from random anonymous people. There might be some wheat in the chaff here about what's going on in the firm, but it's increasingly chaff.
Lost 3 from my team today. They were really good hard workers. They just worked in the wrong location. WF is canning top quality people. Very sad times.
The entire team I work with was laid off today, 40 people.
It sure happened. Many on my old team were let go.
It happened. I have 30 plus years with company!!
@jcx+1nMmxfZS So how does that show the big scary non hub layoff of thousands supposedly happening today? That's what's being discussed here.
The only "cult" here is the group that's in denial and unable to use the TM lookup to see the reality of what's happening.
No trolling, it's an honest question. Posters here made it sound like a big cut was coming today. We even had someone bring back the RIP format.

The July 25th layoffs are going to be heavy ...
Yet we're getting reports of a handful here, a handful there. The same drip-drip-drip that it is every day. So my question stands, what happened to the big chop that was rumored on this very site, this morning and last night?
Troll! Just because it didn’t happen to anyone you know or care about doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Go away Troll!
