Who else feels like they're fighting the urge to quit every single day?

Resigned on my own terms in spring. Best thing I ever did. Landed a job a few months later that has been great where I didn’t have to sell my soul. Life is good now

I agree with @3gha+1vhOkdQZ

I’ve heard of my peers who have done this and it successfully worked for them to use the time for interviews and find another job. I’d be taking one now too but our managers are relatively easy right now on TM in Florida because our shady AL is on medical leave and not forcing sales down the managers throats to pressure us. Hopefully she doesn’t come back or the managers will be pressured again to push us to force clients into products they don’t need again. I’m probably going to take a mental health LOA if the AL comes back from leave because I’m a good RB can go anywhere but I can’t stand that kind of atmosphere here from leadership.

@OP+1vhOkdQZ - Take a medical leave of absence (FMLA leave). Get a doctor’s office to sign off on FMLA paperwork for depression, anxiety, insomnia, back pain, etc. You can start the process on the HR page on The Source. Find another job while on FMLA leave

Just coast until AIP is paid out in March. Better to get fired than quit. You can sue and get unemployment benefits.

To the Sunday anxiety post; felt that way several years ago at one of the big 4. Totally get what you’re saying about those Sunday afternoon/night dreads. It’s not easy to “just quit” but it does feel good to finally be out. Find the right culture, take as much control as you can, and (honestly) take advantage of EAP. Mental health is a real thing!!

Glad you quit - you can now occupy your your new employers layoff pages

You will be in a better place all the way around

You should let Truist out of your head instead of occupying it

Quit a month ago for a role in a different industry and it’s been amazing. Sundays always used to be the worst for me, I’d fill with dread around 2 pm and would get agitated knowing the BS was coming very soon.

At this point though there isn’t much hiring around the holidays, and then it’s bonus time so just take the next few months, get your resume in order, check with your network, and have a plan for applications starting around early-mid February. Get AIP and get out, your mind will thank you.

Met more people who have left that are more miserable than those that stayed. Over 20

This site would never encourage someone to stay

Getting to a better place can only be achieved by leaving and finding peace instead of feeling helpless or depressed about being at Truist

Echo chambers of complaints won’t help you find happier space in your head

Don’t let TFC fill your head do something about it

Maybe don’t see it as fighting an urge to quit, but rather overcoming the clear and obvious challenges of starting something new. Lots of posts on here about “just leave”, but not too many who say “stay”. Every situation is unique of course, but if that urge to quit really is a daily, constant stressor, it may be a sign that the anxiety of a new job hunt is less than the frustration of the current one. Countless posters, myself included, left for greener pastures. It truly was “better the devil you know” turned 180 degrees and upside down. At least explore the options out there….. then maybe it would be less “fight urge” and “at peace with”. ??

Stop caressing yourself, your little peepee is getting chapped.
