I didn't know who Steven Wright was... and who cares if someone 'reposted' his work. People do that all of the time. HOWEVER, I'd say it a little different. People at Vz consistently do the absolute bare minimum.

And I'm talking about the people that think they're going above and beyond. The excuse is always the same... 'there's no time for that'. Meanwhile, they have 30+ meetings on their calendar each week to talk about what a great job they're doing.

The 'lazy' people, imo, are the ones that recognize this and just produce the same amount of work product as the people that sit in meetings.

I write something in 20 minutes. Then, an entire team meets to talk about it for 20 hours, collectively, resulting in only minor edits. So I just sit there (sometimes for weeks or months) and zone out until they're done talking about it.

But it's not laziness... the group has halted my forward progress, so I'm just waiting for them to get out of my way again so I can continue.

And the point of the OP and mine is the same... the most competent people can see through the BS and realized vz doesn't want their best, so why waste the time...

So... I go to the office this morning. Two of my co-workers ask if I've seen thelayoff.com yet. I log on to my computer and there are 16 IMs asking the same... 5 of them from people I work with that are overseas. I check my email... I have 2 from overseas employees asking about this post. Even giving me a link.
OP... you're an international sensation!
