Let’s hear about it.

I enjoy going in to sit with a random group of people who seem miserable. I think it’s nice how little senior leaders do to make it a welcoming environment. Walk around with their heads down me where I am at.
Anyone with a non technical degree needs to be watched. It’s common sense.
@Haha absolutely! I was actually a WFH employee since late 2006 with ST. In 2015 or 2016 my new boss required I be in Atlanta for an install. Guess what? I was the only one in the office and actually had to wait on contractors(IBM) to actually show up for over an hour after the install happened. BS! Last time I ever listened to that boss.
It is harder to kiss bu-t over teams.
How do u do it pal?
WFH was total BS. You people are confusing being busy with being productive. But hey your laundry is always caught up
@3dgp+1nyjlgL9 It is for attrition, but also the SunTrust way to show who's in charge. It's always been this way under Bill Rogers and company. The best thing anyone can do is get out.
Why would anyone take up for returning to office at the same level (or more) compared to pre-pandemic levels of in-office? The pandemic was one of those generational events, just as with so many other generational events that reshaped how things are done - or should be done.
Not gonna beat a dead horse here, but this is all by design to create attrition.
They already made the decision for 5-day work week, they are waiting for the right time to enforce. They want to be sure they're getting their monies worth from you, where they can keep an eye on your time working. That was what messenger was for in the beginning.
Educated
Why are you people saying it’s going to 4 or 5 days? Is this just speculation or educated speculation?
"I don’t get to see my kid as much, I am tired and exhausted as there is no gym, I can’t workout and am too tired by the time I get home cook ect."
Wasn't it like this for you before the pandemic? Or have you always worked from home, even before the pandemic?
I’m not sure on the point here. I am sharing how it su-ks for me.
At points I had to work 5 days, then before the pandemic it was 3 days. It was brutal as my kids were young. The Pandemic honestly made mt life immensely easier and better.
It feels like I’m going to detention and being watched even though I haven’t done anything wrong. It’s doing wonders for my self-esteem. Maybe that’s the point. It’s a mind fu-k.

I'll do anything to become an Assistant Vice President.
My life is much harder now and stressful. I don’t get to see my kid as much, I am tired and exhausted as there is no gym, I can’t workout and am too tired by the time I get home cook ect. I had not drank in about 8 months (just because) but doubt that will last.
Nobody on my team is in the office. I was in Monday, and one person said hi to me. It’s great.
Employees had a lot of power during the pandemic. That pendulum has quickly swung back to the employer and they intend to wield that power absolutely. All employers are reasserting their power and making certain you “Teammates “ no longer have any power. Yes layoffs are coming across several sectors in this bank so those of you left get ready for a much bigger workload. Also be ready to be back in a building 5 days a week by the end of year. Not an office because you won’t have one.
It will go to four days a week shortly, management is pressing for 5 days but too many people will leave.
Local govts and businesses are putting pressure on companies to do RTO for their employees because of lost business from corporate patrons being WFH
This quote from Jamie Diamond sums up how William and all other big bank heads feel about RTO:
“I completely understand why someone doesn't want to commute an hour and a half every day. Totally get it,” he said. “Doesn't mean they have to have a job here either.”
@wfk+1nyjlgL9 you must be an overpaid something if this is true. Your purple stripper building souvenir on the desk? Picture of Kelly and one of his famous sayings framed on the wall?
I have been in the office 4 days a week for the past 2 years now. I'm not a overpaid paper pusher like most people complaining on this thread are
I bet the stripper building has less than 50 per cent attending daily. Anyone know the real number?
Remember come bonus time your lack of being in the office can and will be used against you. The SunTruist way has become creating any and all possible ways to cut your bonus potential unless you’re an RM. Times are tough for these collective babies so their goals are lowered. What we need are a few more SME’s to complicate things that don’t need it, oh and while we’re at it more checkers to check the checkers who are checking the checkers. SMDH

Wonder if the effects on the environment of the increased carbon emissions was considered. Thought that company had outlined a green initiative.
It's awesome! I commute 30 minutes in the morning so I can sit in an empty open-office workarea all day, where I attend zoom meetings - Just like I did when I worked from home. Then I commute 45 -60 minutes in the evening (because the traffic is worse) to get home. I'm lovin' it. I feel so valued, and I can tell Truist really cares about me as a person.
