When I talk to my colleagues, everyone keeps repeating the same thing, and that is that no one’s job is safe. Okay, of course there is no guarantee that anyone will keep their job until retirement, but I, for example, feel that my job is safe for now.
I know of some people who were so scared of losing their jobs, they accepted even worse jobs than what they currently have.

No one's job os safe. It's a didderbt world after or during CoVID19. Some low perfor.ers were laid off this past week. There may have been some top perfor.ers as well that were laid off. Remember companies will just disperse the work among the remaining g emoyees and hire a replacement 6 to 9 months later.
@3nga+1hrB77s8 Wow it’s really that bad that I should already start looking already ? I have experience as a project specialist from previous employer but I am new to fintech. My goal was to stick it out to 2 years to make myself more marketable and leave to a competitor or bigger names in this industry.
Four months rounds up to six months. And by the time you are getting paid more at your next employer, it will be six months. Now is an excellent time to start looking.
@3cvf+1hrB77s8 - If you are at Fiserv for 4months, and already aware of this site, and concerned already, keep looking around. The layoffs are not unusual, just run of the mill. And there seems to be a bit of desperation on the part of Frank - stock is down everywhere but Fiserv is under performing in the market. So he is running scared.
I have been here for 4 months. How concerned should I be? Should I stick it out for 2 years and then leave ? Also I am not looking forward to the fancy new building at Berkeley heights. For most of us the commute will be very long. They even have a countdown clock lol. I also find Sapience and badge swipe count very creepy and disturbing !
Fiserv is laying people off just because they won't relocate to a "building" even if they were hired as a remote employee!!!
Today, especially at Fiserv, it sounds a bit naive to feel your job is save for any amount of time. I think some people - desperate to leave and in worse situations - may have financial worries, where they can't lose the income, for any time period. The waiting around until a job is cut, is sometimes scarier, than moving to anywhere now.
No job is ever safe. I was dispensed from a family consulting business many years ago when it folded and went out of business. I was part of an IT team at an insurance firm thought to be vital to everyday operations. Kids from India replaced our team. You can be fired for ANY reason management wants. At Fiserv I saw an IT security employee with the gold standard CIISP cert fired. I have seen emps fired same day with a phone call. No JOB IS EVER SAFE.
My job is safe because Fiserv laid me off and I got a new one. Does that count?
With bad CEOs running companies, hrm Frank hrm, no one is safe.

Be present, be open, gain experience, and ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, keep your resume' updated. Because that is the first step to being loyal to YOU. If and when your time for the hatchet comes, you don't want to be "deer in the headlights" surprised. Nope, you are wolf pack ready for the next hunt.
Safe for now is not the same as safe... No you shouldn't accept "worse" but getting your resume in order and aggressively looking for better is your best move ... The company is collapsing, and if you are not in NJ there is no stability in your future... Use this time to prepare yourself
As a “seasoned” employee of Fiserv, I will say this. I’ve never been through so many layoffs at a company before I came here.
After going through the first one years ago I made a decision that has stuck with me throughout the years. When faced with difficult uncertainty, we always have a choice to lean into it or fear it. I have chosen to lean in, continue to learn what I can with the time I have, network and keep your eyes and ears open.
At the end of the day no job is 100% secure no matter how we may feel about it at the time. Instead of fearing what’s to come, just make sure you stay prepared and make the best of the time you have.
100% chance I will be laid off by Fiserv (eventually)
