Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Employee Survey is out

Questions: 1. Are you going to complete it? 2. Why or why not?

Also this confidential survey associates your work location to your responses, so if you're team is scattered (like ours) your manager will very easily know your responses.

I can't say I noticed that in the past but has probably always been the case.

Thank you for the (not so pleasant) memories.

A perfect example of how feedback can be “interpreted” in such a way as to extrapolate and conjure up the complete opposite of what the feedback actually meant.

The entire set-up, from the encouragement to share your “candid” views at the start of the survey process, to the thinly veiled bullying and coercion at the end of the feedback period, followed by the outrageous distortions in the gaslit, psychedelic finale, is patently duplicitous.

And we’re supposed to go along with the charade.

I still remember the incredible mental gymnastics to pretend we weren’t all angry while going through the survey results. The score was like 24% positive for “Fiserv has demonstrated it cares about my well-being” and instead of addressing the obvious flaws Fiserv has they said, “I think not enough people are aware of our well-being programs.”

Seriously? You think we were talking about the marketing name for the program you use to get discounts on insuring us? Not how terribly we are being treated?

And then standing up there, while the numbers are on screen showing 70% of people are disappointed in how RTO was handled and then saying, “The surveys make it clear, you want to be working together again.” Just obvious lying with evidence to the contrary right in front of our eyes. There’s no reason to ever believe these fools again or to take the survey seriously.

NA's for every question, including comments.

I will repeat what I said last year: I worked in the survey side some years back. Your comments are filtered. Screened by a third party then passed to the company survey team. They then scrub the comments to meet their agenda. FB sees maybe three.

If you do not like your manager then give all low scores and they will be put on a performance plan.

If you like your manager then give all high scores so they won’t be put on a performance plan.

If you do not respond then it will be considered a low engagement score for your manager.

No one in an actual position of power reads or cares about the results. Your manager and manager's manager will be all over your @$$ to complete it but nothing will come of it. I left very detailed feedback last year. I didn't rant; I gave genuine suggestions for improvement. Why? I won't fill it out this year because it's pointless.

The managers have meetings where they go through what everyone wrote. This once a year survey is the only mechanism at Fiserv where communication moves up the management chain.

What impact do single answers have? How are they evaluating?

  1. Yes
  2. Because I have a lot to say
  3. I don’t care if it is anonymous or not

"Does not apply" is an option. You get marked as having taken the survey but your responses doesn't count towards or against anyone.

Confidential is not the same thing as anonymous. They are intentional in their language. Be cautious in your responses.

These employee surveys are such BS. I’d rather be focusing all my energy on helping the clients that are still with us.

Our VP tracks who didn't respond and makes it a requirement. I did mine but left the last three questions blank.
