Do you think there may be small/medium/large Nike Layoffs 2020? Any news or rumors?

Praying for not as many lay offs!
Nike will succeed!
God says no!
Nike is the best!
@3Bolv+125heS9Y no one is saying that Nike won't recover and get back on track; what people are saying is that layoffs are looming. They are not because of JD claims - to concentrate on accelerating the digital segment of the business; it is because of $790M loss of revenue. Digital already grew 30% since COVID-19 happened but Nike also lost 80% of its store sales. How does one reduce that blow? Reduce the wage bill hence the layoffs.
just when you thought the canned talking point drivel couldn't get any worse
Quarter 4 results are purely temporary. This is due to the pandemic situation throughout the Globe. Nike is one of the best companies and it will overcome this situation for sure during the second quarter of fiscal year 2021 onwards continuously.

It's here.
It's happening beginning today.
I was one.
Nike is the best
Uh, I’m going with: yes
With the current situation, and the Nike trend of targeted firings - layoffs are coming, not if but when.
can we please get rid of the sr directors clamoring to be vps but are sh– leaders and dont produce anything that actually advances the business?
Definitely coming soon. Be ready
As the last CIO moved on and with him some of his lieutenants (again) it is obvious: A security department with more staff than developers is about to get axed. Nativity meets reality.
30% cut in workforce sounds about right! Nike will focus on only a handful of key retail accounts and is own direct-to-consumer business. You don't need that many products, marketing etc. to support such a business!
between lay offs and reorgs, it's amazing the electricity bill gets paid
I heard an internal rumor over the weekend (who doesn't love rumors?) that the new CEO is looking to cut the workforce by 30 percent.
Layoffs are happening like sniper shootings now ... quiet, stealth ... the New York Times cant track it that way ... the new move is to put veteran experienced teammates in positions forever and move those with potential in the higher level jobs ...
If the stock price is any indication, Wall St. thinks the layoffs and diminishing benefits/perks are amazing. I guess it's good a lot of these younger employees are used to getting the shaft and have no idea what it was like when money and product were being thrown around like the set of Oprah.
Now we have it every single year, right? So, really, no issues.
