CenterWell layoff

Is there a layoff coming to Centerwell leadership team? I'm hearing rumors of a re-org and shake up at the top 7-1.

@346 outside hires that take 9 months to share data that is incorrect and havent learned current EMR before we adopt a new system...same pattern while they create jobs that require minimal education paying 150k to friends while staff who broke their backs with sleepless sunday nights cant get a tiny raise...there needs to be topdown review. long overdue.

Well, well, well. It appears such that those at the top in Centerwell are on the chopping block. This info came from a source in the know!!! Thats what happens when you have an agency that is extremely top heavy!!! For ever front line employee, there is a leader or strategy advisor or educator or other useless BS position.

Humana was charged by Dept of Justice for anti claims fraud. In 30 days so much has been taken away and it's scary that each week seems to be another let down. It does seem layoffs are on the horizon but I'm still unsure will it be leadership/management? Cause they don't seem to be concerned at all by the negative atmosphere and blatantly proving clinicians are not valuable to the company. I hope they sell out before forced to do a layoff but it's ominously imminent I'm afraid.

@cs agree that the nurses bounses shouldn't be based on referrals to Centerwell. This is horrible and makes me believe that they want nurses to quit now or when they don't get metrics met and quit then. It's coming because the nurses are not happy with this change at all. We all are talking and leaders are too d-mb to know we are not happy about this at all.

CW is literally the cash cow of Humana. I’m confused at those saying to let it “fade out” as messed up and toxic as it is, it’s Humana’s #1 money maker.

@OP I doubt anything changes with CW other than they morph into a FFS. The org is so dysfunctional and 90% of the dysfunction lies on leadership with 10% on the framework. No one will acknowledge the issues with leadership dragging down what could be a successful structure.

Humana Pharmacy has always been a massive nightmare and calling it CenterWell hasn't changed that. Nurses can refer members but the pharmacy has to then provide good service or they will go back to using Walmart. When nurses started doing med rec referrals we were told to get every member over to pharmacy and then the pharmacy did not have enough pharmacists to take the calls DESPITE stating that they did when we questioned that during training. Its just that kind of nonsense over and over with them.

Part of our metric is getting members to utilize CW MOP. Members almost always say they tried it and it was a bad experience. Why should nurses not meet their expectations for something that is obviously a problem with CW?

CW just seems to hit all the bumps in the road. Humana put too much into CW and now they keep digging the hole deeper. They have built a model based on DEI and fraud. We hear constant negative feedback on CW and why Humana won't let it just fade is not understood. Us number guys can't make it make sense. They have thrown good money after bad and the management team over there has been reinvented half a dozen times. I watched a video disbursed to CW staff of their big lady in charge and had a belly laugh because she is definitely not a picture of health. To sustain, it will have to turn into a FFS.
