Is this a joke? RL brought in 30 of his closest chronies and placed them 2-3 levels higher than they should have been in the org. We already have a CTO that isn’t a tech person and now a completely under qualified CIO? Good luck to us all.

Not sure about CTO but heard CIO will be in office Monday - Thursday every week based on what he told people. That’s a good start for him.

My favorite career advice I got someone from Global Tech… “Fake it till you make it!”. Just a bunch of con artist who think they’re better than the con artist above them.
Nike is a train wreck from the top down. People are not hired or promoted based on skill or merit, the “CTO” has ZERO technical credentials beyond working for Amazon. People that can talk a good game but deliver nothing used to work when the brand sold itself despite the poor operational performance & rats nest of a tech stack. Now the brand is dead & you have clowns like this at the helm, dark days ahead for Nike.

Did you Global Tech people really thumbs down someone who said give someone a chance who has been here a week? Glad I don’t work in your org. Bunch of people who wish failure and hate upon everyone every post I see you all make.
The guy has legit been here a week. Good heavens. Give him a chance to succeed or fail. Based on the announcement at least they made sure half the leaders on his team look like longer term Nike people vs all RL external hires. Wonder if that was by design to help force people out who continue to fail…
