More lay offs coming.

Ooooh I’m just soooo smart because I watched Jim Cramer Mad Money once, so I get to call people more ons!
You should be be thinking about the S&P 500 companies that is a privilege for these companies. You all need to get some more education.lol Mo--ns!
Verizon is a job for 18-23 age group. If you are working here past 23 years of age. You re in a bad spot in life. Lol
You did the same thing you hypocrite.
@4bog+1dqWyLQW Hahahaha, this is why this site is such trash. Full of people who want to scare you and when the fall, they just insult.
You’re a creepy weirdo @4htb
@3kpr+1dqWyLQW Wow, you are the d-mbest group of people to have walked the face of the earth.
Why are we talking about tech stocks? Who is talking about tech stocks and who said Verizon is a tech stock?
Of course we are not a tech stock but we are not the same company as we were 30 years ago so I’m not sure what people are getting out here.
@3rll+1dqWyLQW Do you even understand why that guy used tech stocks as a reference?
um, nobody said we are a tech stock. You know that. We should not continue to be a stock for granddads & little old ladies either. Just because one feels like that, doesn’t mean they want us to be a “tech stock”. You don’t have to be a “tech stock” to have or show some kind of growth. The market is not so structured and limited. Stop being obtuse. VZ sold the financial world a bill of goods of 5G being this revolutionary next best thing. That wasn’t done for dividends. That was for innovation, which likely leads to growth. Not that difficult of a concept to understand.
@3qiz+1dqWyLQW According to who? You? Come on, this is a joke now. Verizon, AT&T, and any other high dividend stock is for retirees that want the steady income. We’re not a tech stock, no matter how much you or Hans like to say, and we’ll never be one. We have steady and reliable income, never too high and never too low. We’re a safe bet that’s considered a good buy at the price it is right now. Go work for the FAANG stocks if you want to be part of a company that has growth potential. Keyword in that last sentence, potential. Dividend is reliable and steady and you don’t need to worry about ‘potential’ income. Quit complaining about the wrong things.
You sound like a fat whiny chick @3gmt
It should be a growth stock. I think some of us want it to be a growth stock. Nobody is saying it currently is a growth stock.
You keep claiming Verizon is a growth stock so prove it. Find an article that is talking about how Verizon should be a $70 or $80 a share. But please, make sure that article doesn’t mention Verizon having an impressive dividend yield.
No wonder the culture is falling apart. Bunch of fools who don’t understand basics of anything.
@2xgy+1dqWyLQW Lol, you sound like this fat guy from my office. You talk so much crisp with very little meaning.
Hans is about 100x better than the previous guy.
“Seriously, a wireless company, or any telecom at this point, is not about growth, it’s about the dividend.“
Ahem, uh, no it’s not, especially when you have been promoting the next best thing (supposedly) for the last 5+ years in 5G, that was supposed to take things to a new level and completely revolutionize wireless service and supposedly be the end of hardwired internet, cable & TV services, among other things. That’s the way it was sold.
Unfathomable to believe that someone would think a company like Verizon should just strive to be a plain, DMV government office, run of the mill wireless telephone communications company that should not be about growth and should only be about dividend. Please stop.
@1enk+1dqWyLQW It hasn’t come close to being considered a growth stock since the mid 2000s. Seriously, a wireless company, or any telecom at this point, is not about growth, it’s about the dividend. I’m upset with the Verizon as well, but you people need to read the financials.
Only people who like the hans job are low performers and people who need a box checked to maintain a job . That’s pretty clear . And all you who get crazy on this post look in the mirror and you are one or the other .
See ya don’t want to be ya 😂
Oh sure, every CEO of Verizon has faced a pandemic similar to what Hans has faced. after all, Hans was the first CEO in 2020 to announce work from home and that hazard pay. Riiiight. He was a pioneer in that aspect. I got a bridge to sell you. I remember Ivan Seidenberg being an abject failure when the bubonic plague ravaged the medieval world & allowed us all to perish centuries ago.
Please get out of here with us all this Hans fluff.
Hans extended the Union contract unlike that last chuckle head (2strikes) extra weeks vac/stock options/ company feels much friendlier now/ last years extra risk payments did not have to happen,work/garage from home during pandemic-he gets credit for all that from me& he is investing in infrastructure creating a lot of work-work is good for all of us-what dont you like about him?
Hans is the most worker friendly ceo in my 24yrs.
You have got to be kidding me??? And I'm not talking vax mandate either.
Enough of this dividend talk, sure dividends are great, but not when the share price is dropping like a stone. Cmon Hans, you’re ki----g my 401k
“Verizon isn’t a growth stock. It’s the dividend silly.”
We are supposed to be a growth stock. It’s not 1979 anymore. When the company was a “Baby Bell”, providing copper wire dial tone, it was a safe dividend stock for little old ladies who knew it as “the phone company“ or something similar to a local public utility. That’s what a dividend stock is.
As the number one wireless carrier now,, Verizon is supposed to be a proactive, technology-driven company in this highly evolving market. A company in that field should not be dividend-driven, but instead focusing on growth.
Obviously, investors don’t believe VZ to be a strong growth or innovation company, which we indeed should be, hence the disappointing performance as a whole of VZ stock.
if one doesn’t know where this company should be in it’s own marketplace and a general idea of the nature of its business and where it’s stock should be, they really shouldn’t be talking about stocks and anything financial for that matter.
Verizon isn’t a growth stock. It’s the dividend silly.
Don’t forget they are buying these cr-p companies with the money you invested in the business. How about the “Drone” company? They are not reporting a single dime in earnings from this smart investments
Hans and Lowell have both placed their bets. Lowell placed his bet on trying to gain growth by expanding in to media and content (it failed). Hans has placed his chips on the 'we are going to be able to stack a lot of revenue streams on top of 5G' space. Remains to be seen whether that strategy will work. (Not surprising really given his background at Ericsson). We are definitely playing catch up to TMO. I do like what he has done in the revenue sharing space (Disney +, etc.). Will all of that he enough to be considered a growth company? Probably not.
The bigger question is how TMO will be able to continue to be considered a growth company going forward. Hans and Lowell should have placed their bets on the snazzy marketing and subsidize everything space....and maybe that is where we still need to go.
We are losing money folks the head dude gotta go only 2 times in 20 years has the stock passed 60$. He was fired from erricson over the same thing poor stock performance.
Hans is the one who can’t pronounce 5G correctly, not Lowell. Lowell says 5Jee
Hans says 5Ghee
“Yo” it’s another Pierre Delecto. Hi Hans!
Yo Ivan invested & fios & it paid off (where he got cash was questionable)- mcadams never made anything work and spent only on wishes-&wet dreams -Hans is spending money on infrastructure moving unlimited data fast with no errors or distances limitations should always payoff long term, I did not see what capex was reported at. Hans is the most worker friendly ceo in my 24yrs. I think dividend is good for years stock is a buy at these levels for me
I miss Ivan
@xay 5ghee was Lowell
Hans may wear skinny jeans, but Lowell wore mom jeans, especially in some of those final-last-best-offer video pleas and photo ops in 2016.
No lowell mcdoucheman was the worst CEO verizon ever had hands down..and u have the Boston mafia running the northest go figure.
Lowell had the wrong ideas in business. He tried so hard to become something we are not, a media company. We are a telecom company and that’s what we do best. He spent billions on platforms such Go90 without doing any research.
Oh and thst AOL Yahoo HuffPo Go90 antiFios genius paved the way & set the table for Hans.
That’s not a compliment.
Hans? Eh, no. The worst was Lowell MacAdam. Not even close. Not yet at least.
The stock performance has been abysmal and at some point there has to be changes to the executive team. T-Mobile is winning the 5G coverage map by a landslide. T-Mobile is VHS and VZ is BETAMAX.
Sooner than later hopefully. 5gheee not moving the needle on the stocks and you can only spin the excuses so much your vision has to materialize fast you got 132 billion in debt and all your cookies in one basket the gig is up
