Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Can employee dissatisfaction expressed through surveys change anything?

Cost cutting hurts employees. Late merit, they will even get 2% this year, reduced 401k, reduced stock purchase discount, medical expenses increasing and taking away employee cell phones. How much do you want to bet travel, training and conferences never come back or are minimal. Plenty of other companies do stuff for employees while still being profitable. This isn't a post merger thing either, Fiserv pre-First Data didn't do much for employees either. Profit sharing taken away, nothing done for employees after the tax cut, its nothing new. As long as the employee surveys continue to be good, why would they do anything?

This is someone’s ( @2wkr+1bas39my ) good comment and I would comment on the latter: Does anyone really think that bad employee surveys could encourage them to look a little more at their employees and their needs? I am very skeptical.

I slammed FB's brick-and-mortar fetish on my last survey. Within a few months, my position was on the cutting board. I knew those surveys were not anonymous.

The only people negative comments on surveys hurt are your direct manager and their manager, and eventually you. It is your manager's job to keep you in check. Once the negative comments are all received, your manager will receive a performance improvement plan. The plan eventually rolls down to you and your peers.

After 10 years with the company, i left Fiserv this year. I get paid more with far less stress and get a 15% annual bonus and got a 2% cost of living increase 3 months into the job. Oh and medical benefits are so much better as well.

The icing on the cake, no one reached out to me to say thank you for spending countless extra hours flipping your schedule all around without any additional compensation to meet deadlines for the past 10 years!

Don't kid yourself, this company is only loyal to one thing, the CEO and his goons.

The merit increases are going thru final HR review and approval to be effective July 1. The cap is 1% so most increases will be less, with only the highest performers getting the full 1% increase.

So the year is half over & not a word about merit increases except they won't be retro. Yet the company has millions to fork out in sports sponsorships. And we are constantly inundated for requests to donate our money to causes such as diversity and United Way on behalf of the company. What's wrong with this picture?

I left Fiserv awhile ago. My new job expects to pay out a 6-10% bonus (depending on performance review), and grant the same amount in RSUs (because in real companies, they don't offer a discount, they actually give you stock.)

@2vaa I've heard that the network monitoring team has been given special instructions to watch for accesses to this website. Given how badly the company is failing, HR is doing everything they can to cover it up and cannot afford to have the truth leaked here.

FB and his gang are probably trying to find out who is posting these comments

One year I chose not to reply to the survey since it was 'not mandatory' and nothing ever changed when it was submitted. I was contacted by my manager, his manger and his manager.. 3 levels contacted me to submit my anonymous survey.... I felt so much better when they told me they were contacting 'everyone' on my team.

insert eye roll<

So yes, they know where they come from.

I think the Fiserv survey results remind me of getting drunk to the point that everyone looks hot. Do you think HR was drunk when they were reading the reviews to make them look better than they were ?

They used to care - thats why they removed the questions about senior management - too many bad reviews.

Results on the employee survey will only show what HR wants them to show. Those surveys are doctored in many ways to support the CEO's point of view. Case in point, the recent return to work survey. If FB or HR cared about the culture they would be transparent and publish the unfiltered result of every question to all employee's.
