I live pretty close to the berkeley office, but in PA, and have been looking for a new house for over a year. The housing market is terrible right now for buyers. And NJ is way worse than where I am. Given the low salaries can anyone actually afford to move cross country right now?

I got fat stacks and I want to be part of the leadership team in person. You probably don’t understand that from your cubicle
@2mrr
If you were so critical to keep you could have gotten fat stacks and not moved.
There are several sites you can sharpen your negotiation skills for the next time.
Or perhaps your idea of a fat stack isn’t a fat stack to fiserv.
I’m getting fat stacks to move to Berkeley but I’m classified as critical to keep as are most of my Ohio peers
People across the country are under paid, those getting new positions in Berkeley Heights are coming in at almost 35%+ more than their counterparts in other locations make. We don’t want to hear about the new people “being underpaid”
I’ll tell you that when the RTO was announced I did look into relocation. Here is what I discovered:
I’d get a 7% pay increase
Houses are about 200k more than where I live now
My wife would not have a job (lose her income even if temporary)
Relocation package of 5k (wow)
End result. I’m no longer with Fiserv. RTO is a way to downsize get rid of as many as possible. They don’t care about you and certainly won’t do anything to help you. I’m so glad I left while I had a chance.
Nobody wants to live in Berkeley heights NJ. No offense to those who already live nearby. That’s different. There is no incentive for anyone to relocate to work for this toxic place. I highly recommend NOT working here.
NJ is where all the important fraud takes place, it's not called The Soprano State for nothing.
Moving from THE OH this summer. Really looking forward to it !!!
The Correct answer is NO! The low adoption rate speaks for itself.
