Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Young folks should look for greener pastures

I'm too old to leave, but you have so many options. Don't waste your talent at Fiserv. This place will grind down your ambition and toss your career to the curb, and then lay you off without a second thought. If you’ve got big dreams, take them somewhere they’ll actually be appreciated.

Let me get this straight…as a young person here at Fiserv I should be thankful of the opportunity to struggle getting my job done with the limited resources that I am given because it will what??? Make me tougher? GTFOH I want better pay and training not to see the stock price go up while simultaneously seeing everyone in the office miserable. You people lack common sense my God. The only way I would stay in this sh-t hole is if I was given 10% of my salary as stock option as a BONUS not a sh---y 5% discount on a stock I don’t even believe in come on. Explain to me why Fiserv is a better spot than its competitors. Visa, Amex, JP Morgan, Square, the list goes on and on of better spots to go to. And best believe when the opportunity arises the bright young people will leave and you will be left with highly agreeable people who will do what you say sure…but the innovators will be long gone.

@2kdx+1vCd3oXU, nice profanity laced rant. Here’s some free advice. It is better to stay silent and let people think you are an id--t than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Confirmed_Sources_Say is a fed boy cuck. Fiserv su-ks. Horribly underpaid, and now everyone can do the work of 3 people. Fu-k out of here.

If you can work on projects at Fiserv that are fraught with challenges, you can work anywhere. As a professional, you are tested when there are problems, not when things go smoothly. Obviously it’s not good all the time, but you certainly grow and develop when in the middle of them, and look back and think “ I figured out a way through that and developed certain skills in the process”…

"It’s true that you won’t get a ton of training, or worse the training you get will be irrelevant and dated, but if you are ambitious, inquisitive, have a good attitude, are willing to put in the work and love to problem solve..."

So the only thing that Fiserv provides is a failure, everything else is something the employee could do on their own, or at any company.

Sure sounds like a great place to work. Come work at Fiserv. You can succeed here in spite of Fiserv's best efforts!

I disagree, Fiserv truly offers amazing opportunities for junior employees that you would not get anywhere else. It’s true that you won’t get a ton of training, or worse the training you get will be irrelevant and dated, but if you are ambitious, inquisitive, have a good attitude, are willing to put in the work and love to problem solve, Fiserv can be a great launching point for your career. Ignore the negativity from the people that want a job rather than a career, rant on about the old days, and complain about showering and coming to an office, they won’t be around long anyway.

Been here 10+ years. There is zero focus on growth, learning and development, personal training, certifications etc. Any job opportunity to move upwards comes with a mandatory relocation to somewhere cold.
There are a few friends and family of the senior leaders that do well though. It’s rarely about talent and ambition and usually about who you know at the top table.
I’ll be leaving in 2025 and will look forward to resuming a career rather than a job which is all this now.
Anyone thinking about joining Fiserv better have a friend or family connection higher up as it will only be a matter of time until your boss and team gets fired or reorged year after year.
They have zero interest in employee growth and development. None whatsoever. don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. it’s 100% focus on stock price and the rich getting richer from massive amounts of stock options they get
