Some people are being transferred on paper to hub locations while being able to remain in their non-hub location. What’s the point?

@2isa+16OjPHKS No, you id–t, some folks were hired and not relocating in the middle of the pandemic fool. Someone we just hired lives in Illinois and not relocating to their target city until it's over with, but you keep acting like you know everything. Poor triggered baby.

@3arw+16OjPHKS - I do know the specifics of your case but if 1,000 miles away is in another state and your taxes are being withheld in MN then this is more than a minor oversight.
I'm on record as being in Minneapolis. That's where I was hired 20 years ago, but I actually live 1,000 miles away.
It's not because of any dishonesty on anyone's part. It's because of the overwhelming amount of roadblocks that exist within Well's internal processes make it difficult-to-impossible to change everywhere it needs to be changed.
The original "location strategy" from two years ago was postponed for this very reason: Management didn't have solid knowledge of where people actually were.
The W2s of the folks who are being "hidden?" will reflect the correct state. In the meantime these employees can look at their pay stubs to see which state their taxes are going to. I'm not entirely clear on the rationale for doing it, but no tax fraud here.
I am a contractor working remotely in a non-hub city, and teamworks lists my office as Charlotte. I thought it was a bit weird, but it's not a conspiracy or fraud. And it's where the job was posted.
Maybe the goal is less transparency around how many employees are not in a hub, given efforts underway to cut back on remote work (pre-pandemic, of course). If I were an FTE told I had to relocate to Charlotte, for example, I'd be paying a lot of attention to how many colleagues in teamworks were still working remotely.

That is indeed fraud, especially when paying state taxes and such. I could be making 150k at SF and claim I live and work at Charlotte, less taxes to pay. Typically, if someone moves location, they don't update to the actual hub site until employee gets there– whether it takes 3 weeks or 3 months for the move. For HR and accounting purposes. Anything outside of that is just fu__ery.

Yes this is being done during the pandemic and also give people a few months to relocate. Do you think someone can live in Georgia and start in Phoenix next week? have some understanding
@1qsf, temporarily? Why would they change their location temporarily or before they have moved? Bottom line - that is fraud.
There are always excuses at this bank. That is why there are so many issues. Everything is okay no matter what you do. There is always some sort of justification.
Are you sure it isn't just temporary due to the pandemic? We have not yet relocated because of that. Really hope they cancel that program. It doesn't make sense anymore with the technology we have today.

It’s basically another form of fraud, which is obviously tolerated and part of Wells Fargo’s corporate culture. A manager can go in Staff Management and update someone’s location at anytime. There appears to be no checks and balances.
