From the article: "The White House issued a clarification late Thursday after the Washington Post, citing an official, reported USPS workers were not required to get the shot and were only being “strongly encouraged” to do so.
Postal workers will have a choice between getting the vaccine and getting tested for COVID-19 once a week, a Biden administration official clarified, subjecting those workers to the rules being imposed on business of 100 employees or more, as opposed to the rules for federal employees.
'USPS is not included in the executive order requiring vaccination of Federal employees. USPS has a separate statutory scheme and is traditionally independent of federal personnel actions like this,' a Biden administration official said."
Just so everyone is clear, the guy who said postal workers are not included in the mandate is making that up.

Funny how Biden's team is exempt from the mandate. And Postal Workers. You know, the people handling contaminated boxes from all over the country and then fanning out and visiting literally every house in the country. No reason for them to be jabbed at ALL.
The greatest generation won over fascism in the 40s in a United effort. In the 60s, America came together to put a man on the moon in less than 10 years, an incredible feat with the technology at the time.
As late as September 11, 2001, the country was United. I think it’s safe to say it would never happen now. We would fail to meet such a challenge.
America has a lot of growing up to do. I personally don’t think we’re up to it.

Taking away someone's means of gainful employment, not just where they currently work but at most businesses and gov agencies across the country is CLEARLY coercion. Saying 'oh, but you could start a lemonade stand' is a farce and only serves to prove the power of the coercion. It also ignores the fact that they will eventually come for every business, even self employed people. Just a matter of time.
Wrong. You won't be "free" to do anything. What they are attempting to do is an incremental approach of divide/conquer. So it starts with one group with a mandate, and they simply keep adding groups until you are left with a tiny mass of people, unemployed, beaten down, unable to go anywhere or do anything without the right 'papers', and as the rest of the population falls victim to all the side effects of a weakened immune system, that tiny minority will be blamed, and that's when the final order comes to exterminate them. That's exactly what's happening. Divide, conquer, rinse and repeat until what's left is a small enough group that it's politically viable to get rid of them. It's happened countless times throughout history. There are people here already calling for / reveling in the death and suffering of those that refuse. All because government propaganda has turned them against their neighbor.
Imagine if the same thing happened in the 1980s with people that got HIV/AIDS. Constant attacks against the victims of the disease, blaming them for the ills of others, taking away their jobs, and finally rounding them all up. Can you imagine? It's horrific, but it's what's going to happen right now in 2021-2022 unless these tyrants are stopped.
You can be pro-vaccination and anti-mandate/tyranny. All you have to do is believe in the human right not to be forced to be a medical test subject.

Your employer and the government can absolutely require a vaccination, and you can absolutely refuse.
And you are more than free to find another employer or start your own business.

Biden is not "mandating" this from his seat - he does not have the constitutional authority to do that. But the DOL can.
What he said was that the DOL will be creating the mandate. So for all of you constitutional scholars on the thread - might want to go read up about how it works. Laws are indeed created by congress. Regs are created by govt bodies that have been empowered by law with the ability to do so.
Sure, but not without accomodations for exemptions, and in any event the President of the US has no authority to force businesses to make that decision. That's the problem here. If WF wanted to have a mandate, we'd already have one. Coercion from the White House is unconstitutional and immoral.
Your employer can require a vaccination just like they can require pants.

Presidents don't make law, bottom line. It's questionable whether the President can legally / morally force this upon the executive branch (while excluding his own staff, equal protection?), but there is absolutely no question that he has zero authority to mandate anything outside the executive branch. If you missed civics: the House of Reps initiates spending bills, once they pass there, the Senate generally passes a similar law. Then they hammer out the details and vote on the final version. If a majority in each house votes "yes", then the bill goes to the White House. The President either signs it, vetoes it, or ignores it. If he/she signs it, it becomes law. Even then it might be ki---d by the courts, but that the simplified version of how something becomes law in the United States. Things don't become law because a senile old white man in DC makes a single handed declaration on TV. IF that's how things work, then we have a dictatorship. Is that how you want things to work? After everything humanity experienced in the 20th century, you STILL think dictators running medical experiments on the masses is the way to go?
