Pay increase... In line with Inflation?

I wonder what will happen at year end?
Will our pay increase track against inflation which is currently at over 8%?
What increase will nike pay out? will we get an increase.????

Expect the typical 3%. @2fuk is 100% correct. There is a relatively small number of people here who are “must keeps”. Everyone else is warming a seat and is replaceable. Like it or not Nike still gets a ton of resumes for every job. If you leave because of pay or any other reason someone else will be behind you shortly to take your place. Nike was here and doing well before you arrived and Nike will still be here and doing well after you leave. Nobody should ever forget that.

Nike doesn't care about keeping up with inflation. They know that they can still attract younger, naïve talent and anyone who leaves for better pay or more flexible remote options can just be labeled "disloyal to the brand/company" as mental rationalization. They'll find a less experienced, less effective person to come in and call it good enough. It's about butts in seats / pegs in the holes / cogs in the wheel ultimately for a large percentage of the jobs. Sure, for a very select subset of roles they'll invest and pay more but that's the pyramid scheme we all subscribe to in the corporate world, there are the chosen few and then there are the masses that do "ok enough" and are dispensable. I always keep in mind, your employer's primary mission regarding people is to get you to work the most, for the least amount of money. Whether a worker is happy or not is irrelevant outside of keeping them outputting more deliverables every hour.

I agree with most have said. From the rumors I heard on high, the original plan was to give very minimal raises (like 1%-2%) with Nike’s tough global situation. No way they can stick to that now and be competitive with other companies. Nike will show its true colors at year end and I hope they surprise us, but I would also expect 3% or less.

The bonus % should match the turnover rate.
