No need, below poster. Just don’t like people conveying misinformation that feeds the hamster wheel

That has nothing to do with Elon, what he did and the poster being incorrect about the WARN rules, which doesn’t dictate when a company decides to release you and pay you. It has to do with the time frame of the last day. Being told one day you’re gone, and still paying you is different then being told your last day is in 60 days, you’re released from work and we will still pay you, as Humana did with you, poster. Elon didn’t give the 60 day notice, he let go that day. Had he did what your experience was, the twitter employees wouldn’t be going to court about it. He violated the law n how he did it

@2csr+1jSTfrIu Several years ago I was let go by Humana. We were told Thursday and we worked until the Friday. They paid us up to the date of the impact.

Um, no…Its not the act of pay, it’s the act of notification

WARN protects employees, their families, and communities by requiring employers to give a 60-day notice to the affected employees and both state and local representatives before a plant closing or mass layoff. Advance notice provides employees and their families time to transition and adjust to the potential loss of employment, time to seek alternative jobs and, if necessary, time to obtain skills training or retraining to successfully compete in the job market.

I think you will find Musk complied with the WARN notice by paying people for a period of time even though they are not expected to work. the 60 day time limit would have taken Twitter staff into early January but Musk is paying them for longer.

Humana’s HR checks all boxes when it comes to a RIF. They take their time to get it right for the company. That’s what makes suing hard. And any MT member who acted like Musk, trying to fire masses of people on a whim, would get fired by the board.

None, since there were no illegal missteps, and Elon didn’t do the WARN timeframe correctly, Humana did
