ONE job displayed IS a bloodbath for that employee. Displaced 08-22-23 from WF.
Last big layoff date there were posts starting immediately in the morning about getting notifications that went on consistently all day with depts and locations. That did not happen this time. There may have been a few, but not what was advertised. So it was definitely overblown.
We do know layoffs have been actually happening every other Tuesdays, but when someone exaggerates it by saying "a big blood bath is coming", people just get annoyed.
Mass layoffs are not happening on multiple days. The mass layoffs are occurring the Tuesdays after payday. There is a whole process lol.
There was a big layoff yesterday as there has been for months now. You think Wells is letting the media know with every mass layoff that they do? The media will only see the public WARN notices filed when there is a mass layoff/site closing when Wells files it. Not every WARN notice requires public disclosure which is why we get the 60 day non-working period.
Instead of the big one day layoffs, they are occurring in smaller numbers on multiple days. The big layoff on 3 Oct was of course a myth, but there probably were a few.
confirmed layoffs on the 3rd - know someone who was impacted. Also confirmed for the 17th as a friend of mine is dismantling a team.
I gots tons of time, but OP is correct.
i read on here oct 17 is the big day. this was posted well before oct 3 date came up. is there truth in this?
You all should avoid posting a big layoff prediction before it actually happens. WF leadership is paranoid about the media exposure of layoff news because it negatively impacts WF share prices. The corporate may be playing a rope-a-dope with us. You know there are Charlies cronies trolling around here. I would recommend posting a big layoff thread only after it actually happens.
Why are there layoffs in california specifically?
You ARE wrong. No one has the time to waste proving anything.
IDGAF. That is what Chuck and company have created. Lay me off already. IT speaking. And I am not alone either
JPM hopefully isn’t dumm enough to take on your dreck. Our HR from USAA keeps bringing in you Wells Fargo sk-m. Who knows why, you’d think we’d just keep you losers out of the banking system for good.
Boy you can't tell the troll is upvoting @til+1oUq6Zje over and over, very subtle. How could something with so many upvotes by untrue? lol
This tech still hasn't been affected.
Layoffs? JPM is waiting in the wings to pick our bones clean when we get shut down!
Not a lie. Many in OR, CA, SC, IA, and MD let go. Just bc you weren't one of them doesn't mean it's not true.
@vht+1oUq6Zje Honestly that’s fair. OP did overstate it but as usual that one spaz troll is in this thread trying to conflate them too. The weirdos who carry water for the chicken little trolls are one of the weirder parts of this site lol
@luy+1oUq6Zje
I would if you would join the Zoom call I sent you, but you’ve been logged off all day. I have some bad news for you.
Remote, 2 miles from a hub, and I am still here and still waiting. Get on with it!!
@ruz+1oUq6Zje
You are giving OP way too much credit lol.
Yes those people are just posting and getting lucky, but that’s not what OP said. They said the 10/3 layoffs were a lie lol. Ain’t a lie.
You all are delusional talking about the layoffs are a scam lol. They aren't even trying to hide it, I don't understand. Even if the CFO didn't recently state they have let go 40k employees and plan to continue, do the multiple closings of buildings everywhere and jobs being shipped to India not clue you all in??? Unbelievable lol.
Hey OP, this is pretty easy to prove you wrong. Go to tm lookup, jot down how many employees the CEO has total. 61 days from now, check the number again. See the difference? That's how many got laid off today.
No, we "get" that there are layoffs every Tuesday after payday. But so does the troll, who always blows things out of proportion deliberately to cause panic, and chooses those dates to add some validity to what he says, even though he doesn't have any more info than the rest of us. It's an established con man tactic.
There just wasn't some big culling of all WFH/non hub people or whatever that was being hyped here.
It’s all a scam by a few neurotic posters who want others to feel the shame and fear, to make themselves feel better.
They’re literally closing an office and doing layoffs. It’s all over the news. What are you on about?

Obviously there were layoffs today- what aren't yall getting that there are layoffs every Tuesday after payday. This will continue for awhile.
Today will most likely be a pretty big layoff due to timing of the 401k match. Next week will be a big one as well. Do you really think everyone that got laid off this morning is going to rush to this site to report it? Lol, by end of week things will start trickling in about the layoff today.
Waiting for the CPFB supreme Court case judgement. Maybe later. Vacation would be nice.
Just because it hasn’t happened today doesn’t mean it’s not happening. The CFO says more layoffs are coming. I think it’s kind of like when Harold Camping prediction the world would end would be in May 2011 - (common) man cannot know the day of reckoning at Wells either, apparently.
Just because some people were laid off and others weren't doesn't mean any of it was a lie
Remote and 40+ miles from a hub and still standing.
Literally just got laid off lmfao
Definitely looking that way. If only there'd been some indication that the guy gleefully posting in the middle of the night about how everyone should be terrified was full of sh-t.
