Kinda like how if you don't like hearing about RTO being a garbage policy being pushed by evil executives that want to downsize us all, you could just not come HERE, right? Exactly, get back under Charlie's desk.

Was it something I said?! Sheesh!

If it’s a downtown location I get it though because of the parking and gas costs. It adds up.

I’m the original poster for @nxk.

here's an idea, if you dont like the terms of your employment go elsewhere. No one is stopping you. And good luck finding a remote job, they are becoming more and more rare.

If I’m one of the top producers in my department, you should not care where I get my work done.
I refuse to go to some office in the city just so you can justify your sh---y real estate purchases. Never gonna happen.
This is the new normal.

Do what I do, enjoy the nostalgia of the ride back to work, seeing and remembering the roads, stores, restaurants you visited, walking to starbucks at 10am, etc..., and of course watching the clock.

@nxk It's not a big deal.

It is a stupid deal. It takes 3x the one-way commute out of the employee's day just so some manager, somewhere can report that they are lord of their kingdom for 2, 4, 6, however many hours a day.

It doesn't save the bank any money yet according to management the bank's most significant issue is the expense ratio, which is driving layoffs. So why the big effort towards RTO when all it accomplished is worker ill will and people spending time chasing administrative stupidity instead of actually helping the bank to operate?

@nxk+1n6jM0Y8, have you not been paying any attention the last 3 years? Do you not see it yet?

What is the big deal exactly with simply going into an office a couple of days per week?

Is it the commute?

They are looking for reasons to fire people now with this RTO if you have to go back to an office. No more severance payouts if they can help it. F this company and their lame policies!

I'm starting to think the business executioners are the ones running all rto reports for managers lol
