@1xw RTO is for tax breaks - nothing more or less. To quote from the Upanishads, "knowing that, the rest is known".

@1xw True Dat! Shows how 'green' fiserv really cares about the environment. It's contrary to the supposed social position they tout.

Well it's a step in the right direction. I only wish we'd go back to FULLTIME remote. This in-office "collaborating" is stupid, and does nothing but encourage people to waste time socializing, wasting gas and travel time, pollute the environment, make it harder to concentrate on real work, and costs us all money we can't afford to waste. I will still look for an alternate fulltime remote position. Yes, they still exist. At least if your tech skills are solid, and kept up-to-date.

@ck accept your bonus and mandatory RTO, while we accept our WFH.

If you have a problem with that then maybe stop hoarding promotions on your team to your level. You have equity in the company and we don't. Act like it. Be a leader.

You have everything you need to do your job no matter what level. Email, Teams, and phone. There is absolutely no need to be in an office at your tiny desk.

5 days in office is Insane when you see almost everyone most of the times are on teams - same collaboration can be achieved from anywhere - it’s just the ego of HR and leadership. Hope Mike and his team see this as a deterrent - and do something about it.

@ck The leopards are eating your face and you're still convinced of the boogeyman "freeloaders" causing all this bs. Get a grip, you emotional wet blanket. The work that keeps this organization afloat is done by the WORKERS, not the leadership team that joins once everything has already been established. I don't know why you think the fools that get tapped to lead 15 years into these products' lifespan are the ones that actually know how to run them. That's why these clients feel the way that they do- because service has degraded, resources are limited, and management can't communication better than a fifth grader.

And I'm sure the usual suspects, the ones who complain on here who want to be paid and do no work, will continue to abuse WFH and flexibility. This time though, management should punish these losers instead of all of us. Many of you come on here and complain about your workload and senior management. I'm sure the time you spend on coffee breaks, bathroom time, and backing into your fu--ing parking space in the morning could better be used for say, working.

Since you are all so much better than your managers and directors, I'm shocked you are all in the class of people that are complaining.

Whatever rotation plan they come up with for the next "18 months" needs to be based on closer to 1,000 parking spots, not the 1,450 or so we have currently. That's hard math!

I’m thinking rotation = half come 3 day and half 2 day and switch following week and so on; that would make perfect sense if we have parking at least for half of the building. If we have parking for only 1/3rd - not sure how it will be done.

@ah They said “rotation” so I imagine it’ll be no more than the number of employees that they have on site parking spots for. Therefore 4/1 and 3/2 are unlikely. It would need to be alternating weeks. I would assume it’ll be directors and up and then managers and below between the rotations with maybe some overlap. But that’s all speculation and I could be totally wrong. I’m not sure what the requirements were to get the tax credit. It could also be rotated by department so that if your team happens to mostly be in BH, you’ll actually get to see them all and “collaborate”.

Either way, glad they owned up to the issue and that they’re trying to manage this in a way that doesn’t ki-l morale. As others have said, I’d expect some people to try and ruin it for those who do what they’re supposed to do. Would not be surprised if sapience came back to BH specific staff and people are more harshly monitored during this 18 month period.

Personally not a fan of the badge swipe tracking and sapience, but also not a fan of being penalized for the actions of others. I think this approach is (while tbd) better than parking 2 miles away and hope that others appreciate this as well.

@ag any idea as to what they’re looking to implement? A 3 days remote/2 days onsite or 4/1? Did they mentioned how or is at the discretion of the Manager/Director? There has to be a way to make it “fair” i suppose, thanks for the help!

@aa They have a long term commitment with the state, for all these tax breaks. Unlikely they’d invest in a garage if that was the plan. This is long term thinking that should have been implemented when they us from Short Hills to Berkeley Heights, but here we are.

@OP wait really? How’s the rotational plan going to work? Have they committed to building the garage?

Could they be planning to move headquarters out of NJ and planning a headcount reduction in NJ?

Lazy people will blow it for us again

Even though most are overworked the people who use mouse movers will make us somehow return fully to office before those 18 months
