Yeah it's "high standards" on some anonymous board, then it's blame it on offshoring.

Please keep in mind the any outsource company will be much more expensive in the end. In years past, T insouced systems because they figured out that while the intial cost was lower, the final cost inclunding all the change orders drove up the cost tremendously.

No doubt once Ratty leaves a new group will come in and save $ by bring them back in.

No way these Indians could match US FBO standards with their lack of experience and low level technical skills. Technical skill to an Indian employee is writing an excel spreadsheet to a US FBO employee it is developing powerful, flexible and expandable fully functional applications in very powerful development languages with ability to access many databases and provide user friendly GUIs

@1xkp+13qCldMu You are an uninformed id–t to make such a statement. Much of FBO duties are IT and Network related with high standards of controls. In many cases the standards are much higher than both IT or Network as well as any other organization. Without billing there WOULD BE NO REVENUE! In fact, billing is the revenue assurance function for all of AT&T and often finds very low standards of controls in Network, IT, Sales, Product Management, Customer Installs and escalates to upper management with the usual reply that original implementation and architecture was poor by those orgs. The low standards in AT&T resides outside of FBO and ATO is by far the the lowest standards with poor implementations that cost us big dollars in losses. Significant upgrades in the quality of employees in ATO is needed and has substantially hurt AT&Ts profit

The standard set up US workers is pretty low. Wouldn't take much to meet that.
