Wondering how many employees received their layoff date and if comfortable the date you were given.

You could report to HR now. Or wait until the check is in your account, and then report the behavior to HR.
New update: 200+ of us who chose not to move to Nebraska were let go yesterday 2/15/24. Most were given a 60 day notice, some of us more like a 30 day notice... we had tasks to complete that included training videos for the new folks that had to be "approved" to "get" our severance. Lady I reported to held my severance over my head as a "subtle threat". Going to HR about her a 3rd time would have just made things harder for myself. Being part of the layoff is a blessing in my end. I wish you all well.
I have heard of two dates for Layoffs January 18, 2024 and February 8, 2024. At one point they also mentioned staying around to do knowledge transfer to the new hire that gets to take over. I just don't see that happening. Why am I not surprised?
Zero days. You can start your next job the day after your last day at Fiserv. Severance is paid out lump sum if you cross the finish line of reaching your last day.
I got 60 days. Question - how long after your layoff date do you need to wait to get full severance? Trying to figure out what’s safe date is to start a new job and get full severance.
Don’t count on it… being reviewed currently…
My replacement job posting is up in workday. No news yet on dates.
Although there is no legal obligation to give severance, and therefore it can be changed at any time, remember that companies do not give severance out of the goodness of their hearts. Severance is a means of avoiding lawsuits, by compelling agreements with employees. A company certainly can change or eliminate the severance package, but at the point where it is not attractive enough to get the employee to sign the non litigation agreement, they are leaving themselves exposed. This is definitely something that legal takes into consideration.
The rules on severance can be changed by fiserv at any time.
But if you are here less than six months you get nothing.
If you are here for more than six months you get the minimum of 10 weeks severance.
If you are here more than five years you get two weeks for every year of service.
Maximum severance is 26 weeks. (13 years of service)
But, as mentioned in the HR severance documentation, several times, Fiserv can change the rules at any time.
Not sure what the package is to stay but unless it’s really good and covers the possibility of several months without a job while you look for a job, I would want to be in charge of my own destiny and work hard to get out ASAP. Leave them in the lurch.
I work in Ohio, we are untouchable
Still no date, so I made up my own. Good luck to f-serve and clients. Not my problem.
Third quarter 2024. I assume that is the end of September.
They might regret that when they find out how hard it is to find a replacement, but that is their problem not mine.
I think FR doesn’t want us to comment yes with the date. LMAO
Yes 12/29
Choose not to relocate, it will be 60 days from the decision
The only update I’ve seen is “no more than 2 months after your replacement has been hired” but no indication on if the position has been posted, when it’ll be posted, if that 2 months is a for sure number or if someone with experience takes the job would I be cut the next day.
Basically no dates
Comfortable and Layoffs is an oxymoron. This is vague too, are you talking SF?
