Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Covid

I’m trying to understand why Wells will not tell you if Covid is in your office and especially if you were in direct contact with them. Who makes those decisions? My husband job alerts him everyday if there is an active case in their hub.

There are alerts (or were) for somebody who tested positive. BUT, I've heard that they won't send an alert if you were NOT in the office some period of time when you tested positive (e.g. you're in on Monday and test positive, they will report it tuesday. You're in on Monday, ok, NOT in Tues+Wednesday and test positive, they wont' report on Thursday)

Point here is you're not necessarily getting a true picture of who is showing up and potentially positive.

I am still trying to figure out why people care... Flu worse than covid and no one cares about it. Wear your masks and get boosted again. You will be fine.

@1xgu+1hw65nVj Philly is also on that list. Not PA but Philly only.

I’m in AZ and even though there’s not many people in the office, 2 people in my area have recently been out w/ Covid. Thankfully I knew them both and they let me know they were in the office right before they were sick. CDC just recommended indoor mask use for Maricopa County because community spread is high. Not a peep from management. It’s negligent.

  1. It shows RTO as another failure
  2. They want employees to get sick
  3. So they can put more people on performance plans

@yoy+1hw65nVj

it's individual state OSHA, not the federal OSHA

google it for your state. And if you want to see what it looks like in a state that does require it, google it for california.

California and Oregon are the only states that require employer notification of potential Covid exposure. All other states are on the “Honor System”. (i.e it’s OPTIONAL). Wells Fargo wants to appear “Woke AF”, but in reality, they’ll do the bare minimum or nothing at all if they aren’t required to.

Post the OSHA regulation that states employees must be notified.

OSHA requires that employees are notified. In CA, people called OSHA and "magically" we started getting the email notifications from WF. WF hadn't been previously and didn't want to send them out, but was forced to. Contact OSHA!

My thought is that management doesn't want to provide the reason to which workers may point to as their (legit) reason not to work in the office.

Wells is a big a-s arrogant corporation, they don't care if you get covid and die! That's one less severance package for them to pay to reduce headcount.

WF notifies as required by state law. It is done in california.

You shouldn't be in close contact with ANYONE at the office.
