Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Part of something bigger?

I feel like dual stores will be the target obviously with the remote manager approval. However I do also hear that dual stores are being looked at as a massive failure. Who knows, when has this company ever made a business move that made sense. These days I just assume everything is part of their master plan that we don't know until we wake up with and email and a call to get on.

I share the same opinion as the author of this post. I just wonder what could that master plan be like...

@1wyp+1b2TJtZX It could be by July 1st though because most store reps don’t even have keys and codes yet. Tomorrow is the last business day of the month that corporate would make any announcements. No meetings or calls are scheduled ATM.

Whatever is going on should be announced by June 1st- if not then we know it’s nothing

The Elipsis 7 tablet was Verizon’s #1 “slammed” product of all time. Coming from CS I can tell you that besides zero disclosure regarding activation fees the biggest issue was plan rewrites to cover up the 10.00 line fee back then. Most of the resellers abused the manure out of this but many corporate reps did the same under the direction of SM’s etc.

Yea broski, you’re about as smart as those ppl who bought an ellipsis 7. And no, the store closure happened long before any dual store bs.

Keep waiting for your severance bro so you can get hired as a janitor somewhere.

That’s hilarious bro. They remodeled a store in my district and then just closed it. There are “next gen” stores all over the country being run by indirect.

You’re living in your little bubble. Face it, you don’t know anything about what they’re doing or will be doing.

They will pay for a remodel and hand it over. They do it all the time. Its like fixing up your house before you sell it making it more attractive to buyers...

Dual stores will be the stores they keep around. Think about it for a second... thinking still... 1GM, less money, reps covering 2 locations, less money, SMs covering 2 locations, less money. It's not a failure. It's what they want. Less overhead, supplies. More than likely one of if not all the dual stores have been the busy locations in your district. Corporate isn't giving up stores with traffic to indirect. Also most dual stores have already been remodeled recently. They aren't going to pay for a remodel and just hand it over.

Think.

The master plan is simple: brick and mortar retail is going away, for everyone. Get ready by reducing costs, and evaluate passing off to indirect eventually. It would be d-mb to pretend this is 2001. If you work in stores, it's a bummer. But it's like stopping a rising tide. You can't.
