Aero Olathe Canceling Promotions

Good sources have it that the retention promotions that were being offered at Aerospace Olathe are being canceled by the Site Director as a cost-saving measure.
Interviews came to a screeching halt several weeks ago and very few offers have been made.

The eventual reason stated in Tier meetings will be the new Delta variant lockdowns coming, leading to a repeat RIF like last year. Beyond that, the only warning you will get is when HR shows up in the building again with RIF folders.

It is no coincidence that the mandatory 25% overtime that was announced several weeks ago coincides with the above. Leadership wants to get the biggest bang for their buck (read bonus) before heads roll by the end of the quarter. Prepare yourselves as best as you can.

Yes, if Mad Dog is headed to Cedar Creek, then that would explain why they were slapping paint on the walls where the sewage spilled 6 months ago, putting down new safety tape, etc.

That added to the canceling of promotions, mandatory OT to push the numbers up, Cap'n Ahab hiding in his office, "repair" of the roof, new WH administration supporting offshoring jobs, all portend that Cedar Creek is being sold off.

To Do List: update resume and job search postings this weekend

@1woq+1ch0Moqt So let me get this straight. You think Honeywell won't close Cedar Creek, Olathe because they bought the building in 2004 and also because they closed the Renton and Wichita R&O sites, relocating them to Kansas? You should know that Cedar Creek was built to be the World HDQ of Allied Signal Aerospace and it was the HDQ for about 18months and since then it has lived on borrowed time. I hope you know where the Honeywell Aerospace HDQ is located. If the numbers say close the site, they will! One thing I learned working there is that they will spend $100.00 to save $1.00. Remember that as you leave for the last time.

LOL. Yep, the sky is falling. Every person for themselves! Probably laying everyone off tomorrow. Then have everything moved out of this multimillion dollar building that Honeywell actually owns, and spent tens of thousands on repairing the roof, by next week, right? We got sum genie usses here, folks....

If Madog is coming, then Olathe is going to close. Upper Management likes to use travel to corporate sites as a smoke screen to close facilitates. Look for the OEM business to move to Penang, Malaysia and the R&O business to relocate to the Phoenix Area.

I wonder if the RIF’s will be just OEM or both OEM/R&O?

I thought the mandatory overtime was to get the backlogs down in time for Maddog Mike visit to Olathe?
