Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Leadership lesson from t-mobile Legere

“How I have succeeded as a leader: Listen to your employees, listen to your customers, shut ... up and do what they tell you.”
John and Jeremy, are you listening?

Legere is going to make AT&T great again.

Legere is a marketing genius. Has eaten T’s lunch on a sub par network for years. T’s “ investment” only kick started the company. Anyone that thinks T’s breakup fee is why they’ve been successful simply don’t understand basic business fundamentals. Better yet , look at the stock side by side….that should be easy enough for big picture book readers.

Yall know Legere was an officer or VP at AT&T right?

He has been wreaking havoc on AT&T since he left...

I read both posts and shall label your post the true Winner of most ignorant post of 2023.

How is @1dcr+1oZgRS5a acknowledging that Legere benefited from the massive cash infusion created by the poor decision of T's leadership thinking like T's leadership?”

Another reading and comprehension deficit individual. If you can’t see the obvious difference, you should get your GED.

"...with half as many workers as AT&T..."

To the one guy that insists on bringing this up EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Is TMO more efficient? Maybe...?

But stop comparing the employee headcount. It is not an apples to apples comparison. Which is to say it is meaningless.

Check out the TMobile section on this site. It’s not all rainbows and unicorns there.

"high approval ratings for corporate leadership"

That's because people were threatened that layoffs would hit more heavily on orgs where survey results indicated people were dissatisfied.

“ Legrere was nothing special just a spin master in the right place at the right time, T’s failed bid gave tmo $3B cash and $1B in spectrum, easy for tmo to buy subscribers for a few years and for Legere to act like he was strategic. Tmo is in trouble today, laying off just like T, go read their message boards”

Winner of most ignorant post of 2023. This person thinks just like T’s C Suite, completely clueless

No. They aren't.

you are kidding right? do you think the leaders at att listen to anybody but themselves.

att is ran by megalomaniacs and will never admit they are wrong. that attitude is pervasive throughout att.

they only care about making the board rich no matter how many employees and customers live they destroy.

I advice everybody to stay far far away dealing with att in any way. why do you think they employ so many lawyers and actually put them as vp in technology organizations.

Whoa! Wait! What about Jeffie, doesn't he count? He should take precedence over Jeremie Legg!

Legere is able to run their company with half as many workers as AT&T. No wonder they are doing better.

“Legere was able to build momentum with strategic investment and effective marketing. T simple has too much baggage to do either of those. Overhead is too high and they simple don't and can’t change market approach. That’s why we will never pull out of neural with anything until assets are shed and they focus on the core business which is mobility, exclusively.”

And don’t forget he didn’t buy direct tv for $65b in debt issuance and stock issued that we still pay 7% dividend on today. He also didn’t buy Time Warner for $80b. We had our shot we were in charge when t mobile was about to go under. How did that flip? Don’t blame our overhead because they made it way higher with the 2 deals.

And yet, T-Mobile also laid off thousands of people this Summer. Something tells me those people had something to say. Sid T-Mobile listen? Actions, not words.

John and Jeremy are listening! The Employee Engagement Survey results this year showed consistently high approval ratings for corporate leadership. The scores are high every year.

No, not listening. They know more about telecom that anyone else in the whole wide world. Just ask them, they will tell you.
