Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

bullying and harassment session in Low Carbon

speaks volume - the leadership is absolutely terrible - especially in Offshore wind. the SVP of offshore wind should be let go immediately with 3/4 of the people he brought with him. No wonder why Anja Isabel was let go. What a wreck ! Great job from E&C team there.

Bullying by Haynesville Geo managers, Permian and Reserves managers at BPX too. Lots of nonsense going on up in Denver too. BP Global CEO needs to bring everyone back to Houston and observe closely.

Opentalk is useless. They will just move that manager to another team. I have seen that happen with both female and male manager in the past where they made direct reports cry on a weekly basis. It was reported in Opentalk but management dragged their feet in making a decision and they are afraid of lawsuits.

@2owb+1t0YN8TS they are also swiftly removing posts, many of which are not offensive. Pressure from BP?

A couple of points:

  • Big increase in bullying and harassment cases. Old bp staff have never seen this in their career.
  • strong correlation with new hires but not willing to increase screening measures
  • SVP Offshore wind not aware that 6 of his junior staff left because one of his managers is harassing all the ladies in the office
  • SVP of Offshore wind committed to integrate new objectives to its leadership team to reduce bullying

I watched it as well and total train wreck. He doesn’t know what has happened, doesn’t agree that it’s particularly happening in his area and doesn’t seem particularly interested in doing anything about it.

I wonder what was the reason for Anja leaving. It seems strange after her being there for a short time. Were her green strategies too much for the board, or was it something else?
