Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Can we get 3% increase this year?

Just wondering. A 3% increase will make me happy enough.

I’m targeting 20ish% this year with a promotion.

My manager has already told me that my raise will be 4+% this year. The past three years I’ve been in the 1-2% range.

I have gotten more than 3% for years and been receiving more than that for the mid year the last few years.

3% is double what the max has been for years. Outside of an ultra-rare promotion, nobody is going to see a number like that.

It ain't going to happen, folks.

Increases seem to be based on a lot of factors and none of which we will be able to figure out the methodology. They get a pool of money and allocate it. It seems to also depend on where you are to your target Medium pay for market. (Not what you think is market it is HRs scales) so if you are way at the top of your scale you likely won’t get the 3% because eventually you could be over WF Market. They can also provide you with a bigger bonus if you get less because of where you place.

I honestly try not to think about this and what is fair or not or anything that anyone else makes or says they make. You will be much happier living within your means and if you want more money then Wells Fargo thinks you are worth and don’t like the increases just find another Job. Your Manager and Peers may miss you but no one else including HR will. Maybe whining about increases can work. I personally and just satisfied with a job and if i didn’t like it or felt I DESERVE more I would find a job outside of WF. You will get what you get. Bad attitudes or feeling like you got less then you deserve will not increase your value.

The raise and bonus are already locked in. Multiple people know the details. As your manager and stop speculating.

@1mmy+1eyXBVRZ Prove it. The corporate tax was reduced in 2017

I’m hearing 3% will be standard. 4-5% for high performers.

A 3% raise for being a good performer at WF is a damn insult.

@1dgo+1eyXBVRZ, and don't forget that gains under Trump was possible only due to gains under Obama. But you won't hear Cult 45 acknowledge any of that.

In the first year of Trump's presidency, the S&P 500 hit new records 62 times and finished up 17%. In the first year of Biden's presidency, the S&P 500 hit new records 70 times and finished up 29%.

Dems are always better for those who like to make money.

Absolutely possible at other companies.

A 3% raise would be like a 2% raise after taxes are removed.

last year raise - 2.5%. I would think 3% is totally doable. In 2019 it was 4% for average meets in our team.

Got jack for 2 years despite it being my 8th year of a near-perfect rating.

Don't expect a damn thing, again, this year despite the whispers I'm hearing.

Average merit pool is 3% for this cycle. Whether you get that or not is another story

I got 5% last year, so i don’t see why 3% would be unattainable.
