Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

"Climate Strategy and Innovation Lead"

Great, another useless executive. My favorite part of the announcement was describing how the new seat warmer will 'partner with climate experts across the company'. Newsflash, there isn't a single PhD level published and well-regardes climatologist in the entire company. As such, there are no experts, just people who have "feels" and claim to care about an issue they don't know much about. I'm sure they'll find a logical pretzel to twist themselves into to explain away the company's anti-WFH stance, but that's a subject for another thread. I just want to know when the nonsense is going to end. We're rapidly approaching a place where we have more commissars than productive workers.

Yeah to nobody’s surprise the paranoid conspiracy theorist doesn’t understand science. This is what happens when all your “beliefs” are formed from contrarianism.

That's not what I said, and anyone that uses the word "consensus" when talking about science can be ignored. If 7 billion people say E=mc^3, and just one says E=mc^2, who is right? Feels don't matter, it only matters what you can prove and your theory hasn't been proven. Every single time they model it, it fails. Do you know what they call a theory that is a demonstrable failure in even a single instance?

You sound like you spent a lot of time working on that liberal arts degree.

Huh, actually I’m the OP and coincidentally hold the same ignorant science denying views as the other poster, don’t you feel stupid now?

Anybody want to guess what these clowns think about vaccines? They always check every box, their opinions are just handed to them from their bloviating id--ts every time.

“Never argue from a position of ignorance” goes on about how the global scientific consensus on anthropogenic climate change is actually a massive conspiracy to oppress the humble oil companies

Why does this board attract these right wing loons?

Cool! There's 2 of us Geology types here.

Yes, Climate Change in today's society has less to do with "Climate" and more to do with people of one political persuation wanting to take assets from people of a different political persuasion.

Part of Follow the Science also means Follow the Psychology. Climate Change aficionados tend to overlook that, and simply quote each other ad nauseam..........

You seem to enjoy embarrassing yourself in public. Little hint: never argue from a position of ignorance. It never ends well. I'm the OP, and this is my second post in the thread. I never watch Fox News. I watch CNN more than any other network or cable news channel/show. You also seem to be operating under the notion that there aren't billions and billions of dollars available in the "green economy", including grants for scientists that aren't actually designed for research, but to advance the "green" agenda. That's how the "science" has been bought, and it's been going on for decades. If you actually read much though, you'd know that there are plenty of climatologists that don't believe anthropogenic global warming theory is viable. Note that it's a theory, one which routinely fails when they establish models to predict the future based on it's tenants. Keep making those hockey stick graphs and predictions that the world will lose its ice caps though. The last 100 predictions were wrong, but hey, hope springs eternal, maybe the 101st will be your "broken clock" moment.

More importantly and to the point, this Climate Commissar executive position is completely useless. There isn't a single climate expert at WF. If you want to loan money to people to wear grass skirts, live in caves, and never use electricity, go for it. You don't need a useless overpaid exec to do any of that. We already have the infrastructure in place to get who/what we loan money for. That's the point of the thread. Anything else is your vivid imagination and frankly off topic in this thread, so go away and start your own unintentional comedy show...errr thoughtful thread on the environment.

OP was addressed though, and YOU responded, not just any old climate change denier-Er-pardon me- guy who thinks it’s natural because the oil money that funds the propaganda he consumes doesn’t want reality to threaten their profits.

It’s fun calling out these id--tic conservative dog whistle posts: it’s never about wells fargo, just whatever d-mb fox news talking point theyre trying to shoehorn in that day. You even got the crazy guy obsessed with Tolkin and DEI in here too lol

You obviously misunderstood my post. In the first place, I am NOT the OP. I in fact DO believe in climate change, but only as a natural evolution of the earth. Perhaps you should try to advance yourself by pursuing reading comprehension.

So...no.

"While pollution may have a small amount of influence on these temperature changes, the arrogance, ego and political motivations of mankind is far greater." Oh, ego and arrogance must be causing the temperature to rise, got it. I'll defer to the expert lmao

So, surprising nobody, OP would oppose a Climate Strategy and Innovation Lead that actually effected real change that would contribute to combating global warming, like divesting from fossil fuels, because that would go against his assbackward beliefs about the environment.

It was never about an empty suit collecting a paycheck, OP is just some ignoramus who doesn't believe in climate change. Straight from the horse's mouth.

I was a geology major in college. Climate changes have occurred throughout earth's history. There have been warming and cooling periods. For example, the Triassic period which began 250 million years ago was warmer. I DEFINITELY would not blame the inhabitants of the Permian period for causing the global warming that occurred. While pollution may have a small amount of influence on these temperature changes, the arrogance, ego and political motivations of mankind is far greater.
