Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

The saddest thing about Truist

Your work, your dedication, and your results, no matter how good they are, will not have any relationship to either being promoted or being laid off. None of it matters at all. If you phone it in or if you give it 110%, it will not matter. Other unrelated things will decide if you are promoted or if you are losing your job. And that's sad.

I used to work at a bank called BB&T and it was never this bad.

@1tuh+1raupl07 @1vwz+1raupl07 @1lxb+1raupl07-- Everyone I know (and it's quite a few at this point) that has left TFC for another bank is much happier at the bank they went to.
So sure you can say all other banks/companies su-k too... but I'm getting sick of hearing that. It's just a way of justifying TFC. I've worked at other banks during tough economic times and they're not NEARLY this much of a mess lol. This is a total dumpster fire. There's a reason TFC stock has a dividend yield of nearly 6% at the current price per share. Investors know we're a mess. You're probably better off at a smaller bank that has their mess much more contained and doesn't have 50 layers of mgmt to accomplish anything.

downvoted for pointing out others don’t like their banks? It’s true my bros. Do your own research :-)

Once the last of the Boomers retire, there will be no one in the workforce who ever got a fair shake.

And every single job working for a company is the exact same way.

This may be the issue at all companies.

There was. thread on Charlotte’s Reddit today where everyone was talking about how working for their bank is terrible. It’s all the same stuff. People who have been around the block already knew this. Sorry, but Truist has been the best out of the ones I have been at. It’s the industry.

Wow - sounds like you work in EDA. Those of us that work with you hope the next round will finish the spring cleaning - there's still some dirt in the corners that got missed. BTW - tell that little weasel JP "hey". Oh, also tell him to stop calling First Citizens - they're familiar with his "work" and are not interested.

Nope, it sure doesn't matter if you give 110% or not, especially if you have a vindictive Manager. If they decide that they want you gone they will do everything that they can to make that happen. My manager is so vindictive that he even blocked me from being able to do an interal transfer. I honestly think he was afraid if I did transfer that I would share my personal experience with others about him so he wanted me gone all together.

From the EDA to probably every other group, function and division in Truist; they are all driven by spineless and ill-informed leadership; making haphazard and hasty decisions. The bank is becoming garbage and toxic each and every day.

Totally agree. Truist is a good old boy system.
