COVID VACCINE

What's the procedure if you get the Covid vaccine and have terrible side effects? Is that part is Covid pay if you can't work??

You have 5 sick day's a year to use. No explanations to management needed. It is personal.

It’s true, I responded in this earlier. I also got 4 hours to get my vaccine (I opted in to the j&j). I did have pretty rough side effects, it was covered with sick leave no questions asked. I’ve made sure to tell all my team mates about the experience. Don’t let someone mislead you on this matter. If you want to get vaccinated, do it.

The side effects only lasted for about 2 days for me, and I was transparent with leadership and had no problems.

@1tph+1a2mlfFT this is false. I just got 4 hours paid time off to go get my vaccine yesterday as have several other teammates over the past few weeks. Perhaps you should use your resources on the employee covid page in about you and discuss with your manager. You will also get 4 hours paid for the 2nd dose as well. They also sent out an email a few weeks ago about this.

Yeah Verizon is doing nothing to help get it's people vaccinated. Won't give you the day off to get the shot. If you apply for covid leave due to side effect they will fire you for lying.

I had a rough time with my vaccine, just had to use sick leave. At least it only lasted around two days. The relief of getting the vaccine has made it completely worth it, especially since I felt unprotected at work. Hope this helps.

Jesus OP how are you employed. You call out sick if you're not feeling well. If you continue to not feel well you seek medical attention and inform your boss. If it goes past that you will take a medical leave.

HRBP on a recent called said this would be covered under regular sick policy

It’s the same as any sickness.
