We’re going back.

So. Over Christmas everyone is going to be in close proximity to uncles, aunts, relatives, in-laws, little Johnies and Suzies boyfriend/girlfriend, sneezing children, etc, etc, etc.
And then 2 weeks later we're all going to gather in cramped WF offices again?
That's just brilliant. Even if COVID didn't exist, I'd still be concerned about catching the flu or something.
You can't make this stuff up........
Have fun and look busy.
Vacation is over, back to the office deadwood.

"begs the question as to how/why the COO could even send such a ill-advised communication."
You have to give 30 days notice is why. If things go crazy, they can push it back but if nothing much changes, they're covered then it's Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's back to work we go ...
The operations jack holes didn’t get themselves vaccinated, so now we suffer even though we can do our jobs from home.
It will get pushed, Jan 10 will be the highest Delta peak yet and Omicron will likely be ramping up by then. Hospitals are full and getting fuller, which begs the question as to how/why the COO could even send such a ill-advised communication.
Because that juncture where 1,000 people a day are still dying and a hyper-contagious variant’s on the way is just the right time! This company’s brain trust really knows what it’s doing, doesn’t it?
@grs+1ec83R9H can you say "regulatory finding for material deficiency"?
Nobody is leaving because of RTO. Lots of sound and fury signifying nothing.
I hope you're right. The execs will continue to turn screws until they get the magic headcount #s they want. if lots of people leave over these various abuses, they should end and sanity can return.
Go to bed Charlie. You’re drunk
@pkf they said $300 not $300K
@xfv+1ec83R9H if you don't mind saying, how long did it take for you to amass the 300k? What level of job do you have?
Sure, we'll go back. Productivity will fall back to pre pandemic levels. Distractions will return to drive us nuts. Stress from commuting will show in the short tempered people like it always did. I'll get to hear the occasional banker yelling or cussing out a customer, that or the oh so wonderful cough/sniffle "it's just allergies" followed by the entire team coming down with an illness the same week. For those who aren't hourly, it'll return the the as strict as possible start/end times rather than the more relaxed, work until it's done approach many do today. On top of that all, WF will be contributing to the increase in carbon emissions and reduction in their employees mental and physical health. WTG WF.
I would be so scared to go back to CIC. That place was toxic the 20 years I worked there. The ventilation system was filthy at best. I coughed constantly up there and there was one room I couldn't even sit it because the air was so bad. Now it's full of filth and Covid germs. Thank you WF for selling my department!!
This sucks. Now instead of slacking off all day at home, people will have to be creative when they go back to the office and still slack off.
I guess I will retire. Not sure how long the $300 in my 401k will last me...at least a day I suppose.
Make sure you reply with feedback or use Loudspeaker; because they totally listen to that.
@wor+1ec83R9H, don't forget the constant threat of layoffs.
"I really don’t think anyone will leave over this. All talk."
I actually think a lot of people have hit their limit for bu-----t. There are a TON of very skilled people who are fully capable of leaving, and between RTO, hubs, and new salary and bonus structures, they will absolutely make for the door.
I really don’t think anyone will leave over this. All talk.
I hear they have trouble hiring recruiters, meaning they can't backfill for the leavers.... 2022 will be an interesting year for sure.
When has Properties ever had their act together?
I will probably leave after bonus. I have been WFH since 2013. Starting to hear about exceptions for people outside of hubs. I don’t want to wear a mask all day. Thanks but no thanks. Losers all of them for sure.
Properties better get their act together quickly
well dr brett is here so it's all safe
