I was riffed over a year ago and pretty much found out on this board. I am thinking about coming back b/c they're hiring for my old position but I wanted to look here to see if people are still getting laid off or what's up. This page reinforces that I need to keep moving it along. The culture has gotten even worse and not better since i left. How can that even be? Humana used to be a great place to work and it really has taken a nose dive over the past 2 years. WHY??????

@1xg it really is more than what employees should have to bear. This place tries to force employees to act as though they are responsible for ownership when mgmt makes ludicrous rules and workflows all while they pay us crumbs. This company that touts its values surely has none.
@1sk Great answer! Humana is not the place it was ten or so years ago and the toxicity is more than most can bear.
Don’t do it. Other places. Not only pay more but have better metrics. Bonus. And careers growth opportunities
why go backward when you can go forward
Don’t go back. I’ve been here 24 years. Worse I have ever seen it. We are top heavy with mgmt and directors that have no clue what so ever.
Only come back if it’s your only other option. I’ve been here almost 30 years and this is the worst I have ever seen the entire sea suite is new, they’re hiring additional VPs, which will make us even more top heavy and two weeks ago was called RIF week. I know of Six people let go. I’m sure the number is much higher.
Run like he-l
Run, run far away
Def negotiate for more $!
I don't think it's that bad and if you want to go back I wish you the best!
Unless you’re desperate, I would not go back. Humana was one of the absolute best places to work back in the early 2010s, but since 2021, the culture is whacked and it’s a sinking ship.
I think going back would be a mistake. Its best to move forward, not go backwards in my experience. I worked there 16 years.
