Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

Are EOS really confidential?

Employee opinion survey is promised to keep opinion of employees confidential.

I checked disagree options for my manager. How likely it’s that he may find out. He is VP.

When EOS survey result will be out?

@17x+1jv2571cx - Maybe your team is very small, 2-3 people total. The chance of that happening approaches 0 with a team of 10+.

@1sb+1jv2571cx - Thank you for the insights. I had the same experience. The manager of my manager know what I had put and called me on a meeting to explain. I do not think that anything came out it, but the point is that nothing is confidential.

Here's my story. I retired last year. A week before I left, the EOS came out. I was encouraged to take it before I left. I gave high marks to my management. But to the question, "I want to be working at Chase next year," I put No. I found out later that my EOS was flagged at the top. A search from the top down was done. Organization by organization, team by team. Who had the bad attitude? Who doesn't like working here? Management finally zero'd in on my former team. A count of current employees versus EOS answers was done. Then it dawned on my former manager - we had an employee who was retiring and was asked to complete the EOS before she left! So she reached out to me to verify. When I confirmed it, she provided a response to her manager and up the chain it went. NOTHING is ever confidential.

Is it true, if the entire team complains, even if the team is terrible, then they are rewarded with picnics, dinners, and everything on top. It happens in the USPB middle offices in Brooklyn. Just complain and the head managers will cater to you, they will even promote the worst people on that team without second thought.

@17x+1jv2571cx not sure I believe you. Your manager can share the results with you and can disclose the names if they decide to do so. I have seen it happen.

I don’t think it is. Out of fear people aren’t honest. This time around my entire team complained on the survey and now upper management is really looking at what is going on that everyone is so unhappy hahahahaha.

I am a manager and can reassure you it is 100% anonymous. Will we try to guess who give us a bad survey or rating? Yes. Do we know for certain? No. HR will not break confidentiality even if we ask.

Last year I filled negative rating for my manager and no one even discussed. I don’t think HR will break confidentiality policies. Chase may be sued.

It is not confidential. Did you read the HR disclosure for the survey? HR will keep the results on record. The way your manager may find out would be if their manager shared who made what comments. After my first EOS in the firm, the manage of my manager addressed me and some other by name and promised that the transparency in the department will improve. No, I was not fire. I was hire 3-4 months before the survey. No implications for my colleagues, either. I think that these times are long gone. The manager of my manager left a year after.

It's not confidential, your manager especially ED's 604's find out and remove that person from the organization by giving them bad ratings. So be very careful, these are just avenues to identify dissent. Best of luck, if you one of those Korean gang members ( which there are a lot in CCB in jpmorgan)
