I work in technology. Originally my contract is a year long. Then it got shortened by FLEX, only to have it extended for a few more months. What I don't understand is if you're already assimilated into a department and get along with everyone, know Nike's systems and policies. Why wouldn't they just offer someone like a full-time position vs possibly laying me off and playing the " extension game". ??
Nobody seems to know anything until the last minute. It's hard to plan for a future when Nike's mentality is last minute or " just do it". I think they'd rather hire foreign talent than local it seems nowadays... It's just easier for me to apply elsewhere and jump ship instead of trying to figure out how to stay on or apply for other departments.? Unless I'm doing it wrong???
