lol, you people are funny. despite all this talk of mass exodus, all we hear about is onsies twosies here and there. you're definitely in the minority, and if you really feel that way, why are you still here? because you suck and can't get a job anywhere else? apparently so.

and all the d-mb a-s things you people say you're going to do and not do? yeah, the executives here shouldn't trust you. either that or you've lost your ability to listen.

I agree, but things happen when people become truly disaffected. Slip-ups, information leaks, security issues. Management needs to realize that most employees are willing to take far less b$ than they might have before.

Alex, what is "How can I make sure I will be sent home and never have to work at WF again?"

"See what happens when you have huge groups of disgruntled and disaffected employees in office doing whatever they can to waste their day, until they can leave and go back home where they would prefer to be."

And exactly how would that be different to being in the office pre-pandemic? I'm not sure that's the argument I'd be making but hey, I remember looking around sometimes and wondering how on earth WFC made money.

More productive doesn't correlate with in office. I'm easily twice as productive at home. As others have said, they will see huge productivity dips once workers return. You think things are slow now, or take a while to get fixed or implemented? See what happens when you have huge groups of disgruntled and disaffected employees in office doing whatever they can to waste their day, until they can leave and go back home where they would prefer to be.

I think the vibe is - we pay your salary and provide your benefits, and we want you in the office to be more productive....and if you don't come back, you will be displaced which will help our expense reduction efforts.

All you executives are a bunch of empty suits.

100%. I’ve been saying this same thing for months.

But only from the lofty ivory tower of the executive suite. No chance they'll mingle with the unwashed masses.

It is not like they will see us peons except when their drivers drop them off when they come to visit outside the ivory towers. But who can cheer and clap in those exhilarating town halls where we are told women do not do sports and teams are for cults.

Generalization of course and perspective but, male executives who are sick of being home around their kids want to come back & rule the office “kingdom” ( the rare woman exec makes 10x what average employee makes can afford help at home)
All I keep seeing at meetings is the guys saying how great it will be to be back.
Women esp single moms who save themselves two hours a day drive time who still have to do all the family stuff before / after work. Who run to grocery store during lunch will be the biggest losers here.
I know of at least 5 people (men & women). who are actively seeking other jobs either remote or closer to their homes.
