JD will not be CEO a year from now. EH and ES are already back in town having conversations about the next steps. JD is being used to reset the orgs, before the new (old) leaders step back in.
Resign? Not one of them has taken so much as a 1% pay cut! That’s abysmal and tells you all you need to know about any viable go-forward plans they have for the thousands of hard working, real people with legacy knowledge that keep Nike afloat
Why would they quit when they are making millions? They don’t care about you and your little people life.
Maybe because employees are paying for the poor business decisions JD made that have impacted the business. Why pull product from retailers? Why use Mulvaney to promote women’s products instead of women? There have been numerous re-orgs and lay-offs under this sociopath since he took over. As he mentioned, he, and the ELT, are accountable so man-up, take responsibility, resign and take the rest of the ELT with you!
Under PK and MP, it was based on economic conditions. For PK it was a last resort. My understanding is that PK is pi---d at what JD has done to the business.
This is not the first layoff. There has been some ubder MP and PK. it is a cycle, bloat then reduce. Not sure why everyone thinks it’s a JD thing.
