Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Is GT project Bedrock a success?

It's been quite some time since we began the Bedrock project in collaboration with Cognizant. They had assured us of automation and innovation and Nike management was thrilled about this transition. It also marked the last deal from THE RAT.
However, none of these promises have been fulfilled so far.
Everything they've been involved with has turned out to be either mediocre or just bad. Recently, they have been focusing on cost optimization for their L1 and L2 teams, which is already seriously affecting operations and it seems Retail might be the next area impacted as phase 2 just started this month.

The RAT not part of the Cognizant deal? Ok that last poster has zero idea about anything.

BTW, RAT was not part of the Bedrock Strategy. This was activated after his departure by TechOps. TH specifically.

It’s the same story every few years. Last time it was Atos , now it’s cognizant. Outsource tech for short term financial gain while signing up for longer term poor results and eventually financial pain. Then a few years later a new leader will arrive and bring everything back in house.

Have you dealt with any outsourced L1/L2 teams? If so you’d know that the experience is sh!t. The concern is SLA compliance and not good outcomes.

Every contract & feature he signed was designed to milk Nike.

The goal never was to provide value or create something useful. Anyone hiring offshore engineers for $5/hr knows exactly what they’re doing. Putting on appearances so they can get their promotion with a different company. In the same spirit, those engineers “work” for +4 American companies at once.

It’s fraud all the way down.

All the way up too, RAT wasn’t operating in a vacuum. Look at all the companies we’ve bought & not used in the last few years. Look at our new contract with our CEO’s last sweetheart.

We’re getting the Toys R Us business strategy here

RAT was visionary to sign with Cognizant, mistake he made was internal Nike opposition against making things better from entitled, constant complainers inside the berm
