If a person is the most qualified they earned it, regardless of color. Personally I haven't seen much evidence of this alleged 'leg up'. There's less scholarships, limited admissions to colleges based on quotas, no one ever hired a white guy to meet diversity goals, white people are presumed to be racist no matter what they do/say, and heck, people don't even care when white people are ki---d by cops (or any color), whether it's justified or not, and even if they did starting a riot and looting sure as heck wouldn't be tolerated. I'm not crying in my milk over here, I'm just saying this "leg up" doesn't seem to jive with reality. Maybe in the past, but that's the past.

We are bending over and taking it to fill these positions with freak shows and minorities… except for the 1000s in India… wait are they the wrong minorities?

Mo--ns… they are hiring unqualified minorities all over the bank just to say diversity and it’s screwing all of us so…

Simple put the best person who’s qualified todo the job should be hired… no matter race, s-x etc… and this isn’t happening…

You misunderstand my comments. There has been institutional racism and discrimination against minorities since before this country was founded, we can look back to slavery or, we can look to redlining, housing discrimination by our own employer just a few years ago, policing, war on dr-gs, ect. Every decade there has been a new institutional racist or discriminatory policy implemented not just by our government, but by private institutions. This is what I mean by leg up, leveling the playing field now, after so many decades of "abuse" will not actually level the playing field unfortunately. There are plenty of qualified minorities who need to be given a chance, it's not bigotry to start giving minorites opportunities that they've earned, but have been passed over time and time again

I didn't say I don't see color, I said I don't judge people based on their appearance. There's a difference. In any event, other people doing immoral things 200 years ago isn't justification for doing additional immoral things now. It's actually the opposite, we should learn from the mistakes of others, not double down upon them, perpetuating strife for literally no reason. Powerful people benefit by pitting various groups against each other, constantly telling us why we should hate each other, in a divide and conquer strategy. We could continue down that same well-worn and miserable path or we could try something else.

Classic I don't see color, I'm not racist. We should now judge people by character, now that one specific demographic has gotten a several legs up for the past couple centuries

Tell us more about how you think a POC can't possibly agree with or share pretty much any ideological position that a white person might have. Racist much?

$10,000 says you're a racist who judges people based on the color of their skin. We can do this all day.

This should be interesting, explain how it doesn't make sense. Do you know what the word 'diverse' means? It's all made up nonsense anyway, but if we are going to define people by their demographics, then a leadership group made up of any one demographic, by definition, is not diverse. It's also readily apparent that in the theoretical situation described threads like this would never ever have been posted. As a result, it's clear that some posters here do not judge people based on the content of their character, but by the color of their skin, which is bigotry. Maybe we'll intentioned, but bigotry all the same. Personally, I don't put people in demographics boxes and don't care what my leaders, coworkers, or reports look like, or what they think about politics. If they can do the job, awesome.

Your statement makes ZERO sense. You obviously know nothing about DE&I. Dense people like you are the reason why we have to keep taking the same classes over and over again.

If it was 4 black women and 1 black man, NO ONE would complain about the lack of diversity.

Check your privilege.

Did they just clone Charlie to make Scott? Are they the same person? They sure seem like it.

What happened to meritocracy ? All I see/hear is idiocracy. I don't want to work or do business with a company that focuses on skin tone and se-ual orientation.

Virtue signaling at it's best. Hiring tokens and parading them as 'diversity'.
