Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Recruiting Team

Has anyone here ever had a positive experience with a recruiter? I feel like they are all rude and very unprofessional when it comes to coordinating interviews. Do you have someone you actually like to work with?

I interviewed with my hiring manager after the recruiter and then I interviewed with a region leader (GN). The entire process was without dignity. Talked to as if I was disposable and that if I don’t accept the offer, that there’s others to call so they need an answer. Unfortunately I accepted the crumby offer because I needed the job but I’m going on interviews still until I find a leadership team that appreciates me. I thought the recruiter was better than the senior leaders.

@1oax+1vEHKId0 - Agreed there is no career development or upward mobility opportunities for certain positions at Truist. I’ve been in my role for 5 years now and am ready for a change. Likely going to leave in March for a different company so that I can continue growing in my career

They always ghost you and hire externally. Typical recruiter practicing.

It’s obvious that no one is wanting to hire internally. All external WF people coming in and running the show. Not had an issue with any of the recruiters specifically but as you can see jobs are being outsourced and seasoned employees are being booted out. Not sure what job grade you are but if you ever apply for an EXEC role I can say I agree with the individual below. Maddison and Nicolete are easy to work with and to be honest, very transparent. I was never left wondering where I stood in the process. It’s hard to pivot roles and I feel like there’s no career development left to have. You are either stuck in your role or you move onto a different organization.

Great experience with them! Very helpful.
They told me this was a 100% remote position but now I’m 90% in the office. But I’m sure they were lied to.

Highly recommend you find another job ASAP if actually employable someplace else - pretty sure no one is holding anyone at TFC - move on, seek help, get yourself in a better place

Never had a bad experience. Just went through process with Nicolete Anselmin and Madison Williams and they were great. Very friendly, personable and communicated well. I did not get selected for the role, but that is not fault to the recruiting team. Hiring Manager has ultimate decision. Seems that the issue may lie within yourself.

I am betting you are a HR troll trying to convince people to stay and not seek other employment. That, or you are the problem as the good recruiters are compensated to hire good talent so either they dont think you are good talent or they are not the problem.

Great experience all the time - never had an issue - guessing is it’s not the recruiter

Lots of individuals getting hired everyday with recruiters successfully
