We haven't worked OT since early March, now we are being asked to work the weekend. NOT gonna happen!

I'm salary so I don't work a single second over 8 hours per day. You're not going to RIF half my team then expect me to start working extra hours for free, sorry MM. My VP had the grapes to say in a meeting that we all need to pull together and work hard as a team to make these numbers. It's a good thing I was on mute because I almost choked on my coffee I was laughing so hard. Work hard as a team? Make the numbers?? I pictured him in full clown costume and makeup. GTFOH with this "team" sh*t.
@1nzg My overtime that I worked is of the Free Software Engineer type.
If I was still there, I'd work all the overtime I could get and stockpile cash for my "uncertain" future. I'd give 100% of fair work for fair wages. (Not the usual overthetop, 1000% I used to give). For me, that would have been like a mini vacation at work. For y'all that are still there, think about it. Earn what you can now, regardless of how you feel about the current situation. Believe me, your employment status could change at a moments notice. Your bills will still be due, you'll still need groceries, gas for your vehicles, and the list goes on! If you are physically able, and prayerfully covid-19 protected, go for the cash. I learned the hard way and got caught off guard. Would hate for that to happen to others.
I won’t work uncompensated OT if on cost-type contract where Honeywell charges customer but doesn’t pay employees. Happens alot in Clearwater.
If there is OT to be taken, just take em'. Why the questions? There are loadsa folks that want OT but none available. You trying to gloat on your fortunate status?
Who hasn't worked overtime? I've worked overtime all but one non-furlough week since the third week in January.
Yea I have no problem with OT, I worked 60-80 hours a week before all this c-ap started....
Not a problem. Our facility is being closed by year end
Looks like you haven't been around long. They do this every time after a RIF. They cut people then open up OT. But just remember when the next RIF comes ( sooner than later) who are they going to take??? The person who does what they are told, or the the person that will only work 40 hours????
