Hidden Ridge in TX is being sold off and closed within the next 6 months.
Also some retail stores will be closing

I thought the call center in Hidden ridge was sent home.
Hidden Ridge was sold years ago. We still have the better part of a thirty year lease on it.
Now... the call center in Hidden Ridge... that is going to be overseas before too long.

Verizon will be letting the equivalent of a small American city go home by the end of this year. Such a shame. If they end up rehiring many of these positions in low cost Asian locales, they need to own it. They need to go to their church, explain it to their peers and make it make sense. They need to explain it to their mothers and make it make sense. They need to explain it to their local mayors and Governors and make it make sense. If explaining what they have done to any of the above makes them uncomfortable then you have your answer on the morality of their decisions. My guess is that no one in leadership would like to speak about any of the things going on. Too bad. The truth will come out. Make it PUBLIC.
Most verything I've read from this site typically comes true, especially regarding closures and layoffs. Hans just had an unscheduled announcement on "Verizon 2.3" where a new group has been recruited to manage select areas of the business. Curious to see what comes of this.
What ever happened to the 2 million square for expansion they announced in February of 2020 right before the pandemic?
